About Me

For the past two decades I've been a poet, multimedia artist, editor (of We Press and other projects), and critic (occasionally all at once). In 2006 I was a Fulbright Scholar at Multimedia University in Cyberjaya, Malaysia; in the US I am an Associate Professor in the Humanities Department at New Jersey Institute of Technology. My book Prehistoric Digital Poetry: An Archaeology of Forms, 1959-1995 is being published by University of Alabama Press in 2007. Another book, Technopoetry Rising: Essays and Works (translated by Jorge Luiz Antonio, Preface by Lucio Agra) is being published in São Paulo by Editora Musa, also in 2007. Selections 2.0 a CD-ROM eBook, was published by the Faculty of Creative Multimedia at Multimedia University in 2006 (now online via http://web.njit.edu/~funkhous/selections_2.0 .
