Bob Bradley: Rock and Roll Poet.
As a singer-songwriter, he has produced two independent collections of songs (SECULAR MUSICS, SPARKLES FROM THE WHEEL) and is in production for a new collection, a rock opera entitled, TOBACCO SUNBURST, selections from the forthcoming album, BOB BRADLEY, produced by Don Dixon and featuring Mitch Easter. He has shared the stage with, among others, Peter Buck (REM), David Mead, Joe, Marc's Brother, Lucinda Williams, Mindy Smith, Keith Urban, Vic Chesnutt, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Night Ranger, Steve Earle, Ted Nugent, Deep Purple and Reeves Gabrels (David Bowie).His poetry has appeared in Ploughshares, Gettysburg Review, Southern Poetry Review, Seneca Review, Poetry East, Antioch Review, Plainsong, Iris, and Painted Bride Quarterly among others. He has been awarded fellowships from the Ragdale Foundation and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and has won the Academy of American Poets Prize.As editor of Haw River Books, he has published limited edition chapbooks by national book award winners Robert Bly, Ruth Stone, and William Stafford, whose WRITING THE WORLD, Haw River’s first publication, was nominated for the LOS ANGELES TIMES Book of the Year in Poetry.Currently, he is teaching and working on his doctorate in curriculum at Tennessee State University, where he is a Service Learning Fellow and member of the Service Learning Task Force.check out website: www.bobbradley.com
