They say greatness comes in cycles and this time around the long awaited Jessica Jones has risen to share her talents with the world. This soon to be Diva really characterizes the saying old soul with a fresh out-of-box unique approach to her entertainment repertoire singing, song writing, and dance.
Jessica Jones started on her journey at the age of 4 as a dancer, mastering the art of modern, tap, ballet, jazz, and hip-hop to name a few, which led her to competitive dancing at the age of 12. Needless to say by the age of 17 she had transformed into a professional dancer both competing and teaching. Dancing for groups such as the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak and Blaze Entertainment Hip-hop group; performing for over 20 000 people became second nature to her.
Apart from dancing, Jessica secretly started writing poems and songs to deal with the world around her. Singing with friends one day, Jessica belted words of the respected Lauryn Hill Sweetest thing, her friends stood in amazement of the voice that resonated in the room. Excited by her newfound talent Jessica continued to write and sing as well as work with other aspiring artists. On the path of developing her new craft, Jessica went on to do back-up vocals for Kid Kut on Party Anthem, and back-up performance vocals for soul artist Ray Robinson (Toronto based R&B sensation). She also became a member of a positive hip-hop group by the name of Imperial All Stars, which allowed Jessicas poetic art form to flourish. Now at the age of 21, Jessica is ready to take flight as a solo artist. Shes edgy, poetic, and distinctively original while incorporating many music genres that influenced her art such as rock, R&B, hip-hop, reggae and neo-soul. Dancer, Choreographer, Poet, Songwriter, and Singer, to say Jessica Jones is multi-talented is surely an understatement. She notes that her music is a reflection of her thoughts, her feelings, her pain, and her life. Her message to the world is Be real. Be you. Love you.
