Almost George is John Paul Smith( Samsara, Lachesismuta, CFZ, and Drop Dead Radar) and James Joseph Crabtree (A Voice Of Your Own, Kitfisto, Bound To Fail, and Drop Dead Radar)....we started Almost George as a highly anticipated side project in the late winter of 05.....we started writing and recording as much material as possible and then orchestrating and arranging all of the pieces that we liked into different songs... this was a totally different writing process for us as we first set out to do something far more melodic and different than anything else that either of us had ever done in our past bands....as a two piece band we embraced total freedom as individual song writers with each other while we were in the studio during recording sessions and by doing so it allowed us to take our music in any direction that we wanted to.... through the use of dynamic breakdowns, ambient melodic power chord progressions, contrasting vocals, and progressive drop c bass riffs we feel that we have accomplished our goal and achieved the overall sound that we wanted....we just wanted to have fun and write material that we felt great about, no matter what type of musical genre we were slapped into....
