At 26, Ms. Houston has accomplished more than most do in a lifetime. Upon completing her bachelors in Communications and Masters in Communications and Theater Arts at Eastern Michigan University, Ms. B relocated to Atlanta to pursue her lifelong goal of becoming a model and actress.And what gave her the gall…the audacity to believe that she could compete amongst the thousands attempting to achieve the dream of making it in the entertainment industry? Well, for starters, she’s been modeling since her very first fashion show which took place in her elementary years at Carpenter Road School in Flint, MI. The acting bug bit her just as hard early on. She went on to earn starring roles in several theatrical productions throughout high school. Her talent became evident in productions like “Lil’ Red” and “HIV”. While performing with a traveling drama troupe, she was able to hone her skills in the improv arena. High school also provided the opportunity to get over any hint of stage fright as Ms. B performed in several city wide talent shows as a rapper and dancer.Undergrad provided the opportunity to establish a name for herself as an actress and performer while featuring at various open mics and producing shows for various campus organizations. She danced with the award winning troupe “CONTROVERSY”, and organized several poetry events, political programs and talent showcases with the Black Student Union.Having been raised by a network of strong GOD- fearing women, she learned to always put her best foot forward and to ALWAYS stay true to her word. These instilled values along with integrity, honesty, a strong work ethic, and fortitude in turn earned her a NAACP collegiate Image and Merit awards as well as the faith, respect, and admiration of her friends and cohorts.Graduate school, aside from further honing her craft, brought opportunities to showcase her skills and flex her acting muscles as hostess for NPHC sponsored variety shows, university funded functions (Hip Hop Explosion, S.I.P. coordinator) and eventually the Vagina Monologues. Bianca decided to move to a place where her experience could translate into bigger and better opportunities in her quest for theatric excellence.Upon relocating, Ms. B acquired an agent, several top notch photographers (including VIVID IMAGING STUDIO, VIVIDIS.com with whom she is a spokes model), and began the grind. She can currently be seen as an extra in Rainforest Films’ STOMP THE YARD and THE GOSPEL, and in a gospel music video Rainbow with Vicki Winans. She’s also worked as an extra on MTV’s YO’ MAMMA. But most notably, one year after moving to the black Mecca that is Atlanta, Ga. B. Houston was offered a co-starring role in the feature film by Cool People Entertainment: SISTER MOON.That’s where she gets the nerve…the gall. After CRUSHING hurdles that may have incapacitated other hopefuls: being raised in a single parent household, growing up in an impoverished community, and the death of her father, B.
