my name is elsie. my alter ego, boogie, el boogie, boogs, or boog brown runs this page. i only get to sneak in my two cents on occasion. born in detroit, raised in the parks (highland and oak) and since i was a young grl had a passion for words. did the poetry thing for a while and put out two chapbooks, forming boogie brwn grl publications in aug, 2005. now i like to make my words mesh with dope beats. a novice of sorts, i just do what feels most natural to me. more to come soon...enjoy while ur here. peace
