Bekka Rawkins

I have worked in music & entertainment for the last 14 years doing all kinds of things including DJing, events, sales and promotions.
In 1995 I worked as a croupier in London and on the cruise ships where I dealt roulette, blackjack, dice and poker. On returning from the cruise ships in 1998, I incorporated my career within the casino industry with my passion for music and event organization and hosted a mid-week industry night for casino staff where I was also a resident DJ. This ran in London for about two years and in 2000 I took the night to Sydney, promoted the current scene and incorporated a different musical angle to a new audience. I also DJed in many of Sydney's bars and clubs and was a regular guest on Sydney's dance music radio station, Rhythm FM.
Since returning to the UK I have continued to DJ and organize parties sometimes combining my casino experiences with my event promotions and productions. I also provide croupiers and casino tables to events including club nights, festivals and fund-raisers as well as hosting poker tournaments and private games. I still enjoy and excel at meeting people and get immense satisfaction from generating positive experiences within social environments.
Since February 2005 I have been running an independent music company with my partner, Fred, called Position Normal. We distribute music to shops and web based stores in London, run a record label, Green Light Recordings , and host our own online music store . We also try to enjoy ourselves as much as possible and are sometimes seen playing our record collections at various parties around London, mostly at our own called Let It Play! ..
