Born in Tonbridge Kent, The Grasshopper in Westerham Surry was my first musical inspiration in the early 80s where I was introduced to electonic music. The Mud Club in Charing Cross Road was another favourite haunt in the early 80's and a turning point musically for me. It was these club nights and the revolutionary acid house parties that my passion for electronic music transpired. Then around 1990 i started freelancing as a record distributor. I worked for several independent companies including Network Records, Greyhound, Ideal, Pinnacle, Kudos and Sub Level. I then formed my own company Metropolis Record Distribution in 97 and its sister company GMT Audio Productions in 2000 for which I managed production & worldwide distribution for independent dance music labels. Six years later I amalgamated the two companies into an independent music management venture called Position Normal. Alongside my career path I have also DJ'd and promoted several club nights. Although I appreciate most genres of music, my DJ sets have strong influences from Detroit Techno, Electro, Funk and House. I still have a strong passion for playing records and currently host parties in East London called Let It Play and run a record label with my partner called Green Light Recordings.
