About Me

****After shooting for 2 months in a 3rd world Islamic country I am back in the good old USA. Please check out my website www.scarlettmcalister.com for info on the film 'Strangers'. Take a look at my blog and the 'Cairo' link for pictures and behind the scenes videos. God Bless America!!!***PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL IN SENDING MESSAGES THROUGH THIS SITE. ANY CORRESPONDENCE THAT INCLUDES THE USE OF INAPPROPRIATE OR SEXUALLY SUGGESTIVE CONTENT WILL NOT BE POSTED OR RESPONDED TO. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.Proud to be a Native Texan! Former professional horse trainer & certified riding instructor, now a 100% full time working actress. Still in the horse biz as the volunteer Equine Manager for a therapeutic horseback riding organization that teaches disabled children and adults to ride horses. Always fiesty, fiery, goofy, silly, surprising, sometimes sexy, sometimes clueless, always looking on the bright side. Loves all animals big & small, except those big giant roaches that fly which scare the hell out of me and make me climb on furniture or run screaming from the room like a little girl. TERRIFIED of heights but looking to get over it...Someday. Love my amazing husband Chris with all of my heart. Adore children (former nanny to an infant and a toddler), love my family and friends and our big giant English Mastiffs. Love food -A lot (as long as it's vegetarian). Takes no crap but always takes a joke. Love tattoos, trucks, honesty, integrity, laughter, the outdoors, a good party or just a quiet dinner at home. Southern lady one minute, butt kicker the next ;)

My Interests

Acting, Equestrian Sports and Events, Spending time with friends and family, taking walks with my hubby and our dog at the park or the beach, working out, working in our yard, reading, camping, hiking, painting & writing. Love the ocean, the country, the outdoors, playing trivia games & absolutely, positively love to dance. Friend to all animals large and small, not afraid of snakes, spiders, rats or mice, although I do enjoy witnessing the slow and painful death of those 2-foot long giant cockroaches that I hate while I am perched safetly atop the nearest, highest piece of furniture available screaming KILL IT, KILL THAT $!#%@*!er KILL IT NOW!!! at the top of my lungs. I miss working with children and training horses everyday, but do look forward to Chris and I having a farm of our own. No 2-footlong cockroaches allowed.

I'd like to meet:

I love hearing from fans of my work, old friends and future friends. So anyone fun, funny, friendly, real, down to earth, honest and mentally sound for the most part is welcome to leave a message here on myspace and I'll reply as soon as I can. **ANY INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT WILL NOT BE POSTED OR RESPONDED TO...unless it's really, really funny...and then I might consider it ;) Please keep in mind that I'm HAPPILY MARRIED and therefore am not looking to date now or anytime in the future...and neither is my husband for that matter...at least he better not be...SPECIAL NOTE: Stalkers, crazy people, jerks, those with no sense of humor, morons, perverts, or current, ex, or wanna-be porn stars NEED NOT APPLY (and for those of you that are wondering, yes indeed all of the above have. Isn't myspace fun?!).

Music:

Anything and everything. Top alltime oldschool favs include The Beastie Boyz, Pat Green, Janis Joplin, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Anything old and bluesey, Anything new and interesting.

Movies:

Excuse me while I shamelessly self promote first...Here's a short list of my Lead, Supporting and Day Player Roles: The Astronaut Farmer / The Missing / Screen Door Jesus / Dr. T & The Women / Where The Heart Is / The Bells Of Innocence / Hate Crime / Bloodlines / One Shot / Pendulum / Certain Guys / The Newton Boys / Three Girls In Love / The Anarchist's Cookbook / The Protector. Here's my personal favs: Raising Arizona is GENIUS..actually anything from the Cohen Bros is a favorite. Television:

LOST is the greatest show on TV. My Name Is Earl rocks. NCIS (it's wittier than the other initial related shows), Will & Grace, 6 feet Under, Big Love (LOVE This Show), Inside the Actor's Studio,'How it's Made' on the Discovery Channel, and watching Jeopardy with my husband.

Yes I know, those last 4 are children's books but read em before you knock 'em.

Heroes:

Personal Heroes: My husband Chris, My parents, My grandparents, The US Military, cancer fighters and surviors, those who work to protect and prevent the abuse of children and animals.Professional Heroes: Ron Howard (for a thousand reasons, but mostly because he is the definition of a good man), Tim Burton (I've been a fan since Edward Scissorhands. No one is more creative.), The Cohen Bros (I saw Raising Arizona at age 10 and was hooked), Cate Blanchette (because she is a mother and a wife first, and a class act all the way), Charlize Theron (her work in Monster is amazing), Robert Altman (who I will remain grateful to forever for seeing "that something special" in me and giving me the gift of working with him), The Farrelly Bros (for being brave, funny and compassionate all in one), J.J. Abrams (for a thousand reasons, LOST being just one), Bradford May, Shawn Pillar, & Jo Edna Boldin (because they believed in me and gave me a chance).
