My favorite thing is laughing. I generally like to laugh at things that other people wouldn't find all that funny (mean things). I'm a jerk in that way. Outside of that my two favorite things are sports and music. I love my home teams: Browns, Indians and of course, the Cavs. I love playing fantasy football and when it's nice outside I play flag-football on a co-ed team and golf whenever possible. Someone finally took the time to golf with me (thanks D!) and had the patience to show me what it's all about...now I freaking love it!!! I want to golf every Sunday forever!!! Believe it or not, I really like to work. I have a pretty fun job--I mean work is work--but it could definitely be worse. I like hanging with my girls as cliche as that sounds. But I've had the same friends forever and when we do hang out it's fun to just sit around in our pajamas, watch movies and make fun of people (not people in the movies but actual people we know). I also really like to travel. Any excuse I can find to see different parts of the world, I jump all over it. I love to write. I'm a story-teller by nature and writing is really therapeutic for me. I however, very rarely write sappy stuff about my feelings and what-not. I mostly write observational humor and rant about my losing teams. And music... I enjoy all types of music and I feel music is the perfect backdrop for most any setting. So, thats most of what I enjoy. I'm sure there is a lot more that I'm forgetting but that will have to do for now. I have far too many dislikes to name, I am also a jerk in that way. However, here are a few. I hate the Steelers. I hate the Yankees. I hate the Detroit Pistons. I hate the Michigan Wolverines. I hate near-sighted people who refuse to allow themselves to possibly learn something by expanding their views. I hate one dimensional drones who try to sell me with their brain-washed idiotic propaganda...you know who you are. I try to keep this page light and cheery and I don't have the energy to be having to school people here too. That's about it. I'm sure there's more but that'll do for now. Basically, I like to stay entertained and I'm pretty much always up for anything, well, most anything. ; )
Berries!?...Berries and what else?
I'd like to meet people who can go a whooooolllleee day without bitching or complaining. No wait, I take that back. Please feel free to complain if it's constructive and you're speaking from a place of intellect and understanding. Then by all means, I'm always up for a thought provoking conversation whether it be about politics, religion, ya know, things that should illicit complaints. But if it's just relentless fucking bitching...if this is you....then I'm simply not interested. I'd also like to know a few more grown-ups. Not people who are advanced by age but advanced in their actions, cerebration and judgment. And I'd definitely like to meet Bruce Campbell, Richard Linklater and Eli Roth and JJ Abrams and DJ Shadow.Oh, & this guy...http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2007180857,00.htm l________________________________________------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ----
I love DJ Shadow ( Entroducing is my shit but...Do you know about that Funky Skunk?!), Portishead, Handsome Boy Modeling School, Tricky, Thievery Corporation, K-OS, Danger Doom, Unkle, RJD2, Roni Size, Faithless, Air, Black Dice, Audio Bullies, Lo Fidelity, Ganja Kru, Massive Attack and sooo many more though. I love Rap from back in my day...Tribe, De La Soul, Digable Planets, etc. I like "lesser known rap" especially anyone from the Hieroglyphics camp (Del, Aesop, Casual, etc.).I also like a lot of other underground rappers such as Latryx. The newest addition to my favs is Blueprint. He's doing a collabo w/ RJD2 called Soul Postion that I like a lot. I love 80's songs...the cheesier the better. I love rock, metal and punk. I love, love, love reggae. This is crazy, I could never explain everything I like I'd be here forever. However, if there is something that I don't listen to as much as other types of music, it's "pop". I'm not so into "pop" music. It seems that the less the general masses know about it, the more I seem to like it. Admittedly, there are songs that play on the radio that do grab my attention, but as a whole, the more obsolite, the better. I'll just say I love all types of music though. If it's out there, I'm into it.
This one is tough also because I LOVE so many movies. Off the top of my head, I'm a fan of the comedy classics: Caddyshack, Airplane!, Fletch, etc. I also love the all of the Star Wars movies! I also like Narnia, Lord of the Rings, and stuff like that. I like anything by Quentin Tarantino especially Reservoir Dogs. I love all of the Horrorfest movies, especially The Abandoned.I like philosophical-themed movies like Waking Life (God, I love that movie), What the Bleep, Wild Strawberries, A Scanner Darkly, The Last Mimzy and Donnie Darko. I'm also a huge fan of 80's teen movies. I'm also a huge fan of any cheesy 80's horror movie. Dead Alive, Any of the Bruce Campbell movies. I would marry Bruce Campbell...still...today. I'm in to weird and freaky cult and independent movies that most of my friends refuse to watch. I'm quitting prematurely on this one too, there's way too many to name. I love a lot of movies.
I like to think that I'm not a big television watcher, but I'm coming to the painful realization that I'm just as much of a mindless sheep as everyone else. There are many shows that I try not to miss...I really love the show Lost. If you haven't gotten hip, go rent the previous seasons on DVD and get on board, it's great. I also really enjoy Nip/Tuck. I also LOVE Wondershowzen! However, if I am in front of the television, I mostly love to watch anything where they're keeping score (basketball, football and baseball).
I love anything by David Sedaris. He's my favorite. I also enjoy the classics such as The Odyssey, Of Mice and Men and Catcher in the Rye. I like Philip K. Dick and a few "mainstream" authors like Stephen King and Ray Bradbury. I love books that make me question what I'm used to thinking. I like to read books that alter my world views and perceptions. center
