Rainbubble was born in early 2002 with gratitude to Ramon Rodriguez (Cydonia records) who offered to record their first LP. Ramon had been listening to one of David's independently produced tapes and was impressed by the song 'Sun' recorded with Damian Alfambra.The band which had originally been formed by Luis and David, and within a week Francis had joined to form a trio. The band was a few months later joined by Carlos Rojo, who along with Lluna Aragon and her violin, actively collaborated on the recordings.Alongside these bandmembers a number of artists were instrumental in the production of the record, these were Aleix Tobies (percussion), Santi Galan (piano and keyboard), Paco Manzanares (piano, rhodes) Oriol J.Buzzi (voices and sax) Lluna Aragon (violin)...During the recording of this album the band also took part in an Acoustic Music Competition organised by Centro Garcilaso, In November 2002, and won second prize.Rainbubble's 'Rainbubble' was made available to the public on June 10th, 2003. Critics have since likened their LP and its musical influences to artists The Beatles, Queen, Bowie, and the Cure, as well as more contemporary bands Coldplay and Radiohead. After the release of their debut album the band started a small promotional tour. Rainbubble played in festivals including The Glam Rock Festival, Fisc, Cydonia Records Festival, and a number of intimate clubs: Le Boite, Magic, Sidecar, and Apolo, to name a few.In late summer 2003 the band changed a number of members, saying goodbye to Luis and Rojo, and welcoming new lead guitarist Miranda and bass player Nelson.This change has been important in the recording of their new demo. Nelson has composed new material and Miranda refreshes the classic guitar combo with original arrangements and a psychodelic approach to the band. New compositions are darker, more mature, althought the original concept , their essence remains.The band is preparing a new tour on summer 2004 and this web is being designed by new member Ignasi Miranda. The new demo is probably an embryo of their second album, including songs like blue rose, there' s a woman or dancing in the apple, we cant wait to taste them.....text by Charlotte Anderson
