(THE PARTY PEOPLE score a new record deal & name)ladies & germs, a change in the weather has come upon the PARTY of the PEOPLE...read on brotha's & sista's...read on...most of you have noticed our 5 month hiatus (and shame on you that haven't). during this time Dean & I have been writing & recording new demos & shopping them about to different labels that might be interested. in the "writing & recording demos" time, we've actually managed to move in a darker, sexier, and if you can believe it, even more bootey groovin sound! i know, it's hard to believe. in the "shopping" time, someone has decided to scoop us up & show us some lovin! they are none other than LUJO RECORDS (lujorecords.com) from Louisiana...fan-freakin-tastic or what?! now the 1 part that might bring a small lump to some of your throats is that i've decided to change the name from THE PARTY PEOPLE to THE DARK ROMANTICS...& here's why. in searching THE PARTY PEOPLE online, i've come to find that there is an internationally selling "electronia-dance" group already called THE PARTY PEOPLE, and they've been on alot of dance comp.cds sold around the world! crappy right? well, to sidestep any slimy, sharktoothed, snakefaced lawyer from steppin in & tryin to give us or LUJO any problems...i'm gonna be a grown up about it & try & be smart. ya'll feelin me on this?to make you feel a little better though, when we record our debut album (which will be in california with Jason Martin of Starflyer 59), we're gonna be re-doin a few PP songs. this means that along with havin some new friends for your ears & bootey to get down with, they'll also have a few old friends in there to get things rollin!that's the goin's ons peoples...i hope you're as excited as we are. check out www.myspace.com/thedarkromantics if you'd like...i got 2 demos up there, 1 you'll prolly recognize, but with a lil' sumthin extra!much lovin to yous,
