About Me

I'm searching for an angry fix... I just don't know what it is. Also, I say wildly inappropriate things and expect no one to care.
In a Past Life...
You Were: A Kind Assassin.

Where You Lived: India.

How You Died: Killed in Battle. Who Were You In a Past Life?Surprisingly enough, contrary to how this profile might look... I really do have my shit together.

My Interests

questioning my authority, bowling with my peeps, talking about writing and then falling asleep before i do it, jack on the rocks, ordering mojitos but never getting them, checking bbc news or the guardian at least 5 times a day, making fun of macintosh computers (haha now you'll have intel chips), talking about going hiking and then falling asleep before i do it, rosarito, listening to KPCC, comics and cartoons, reading 5 books at a time and finishing 2 of them, learning, talking about sleeping and then falling asleep before i do it, kissing girls and their moms, spelling better than you, making vegan cookies, Super Bowl Shuffles, thinking myself into a corner, being a punctuation nazi, thinking about updating my profiles and then falling asleep before i do it.

I'd like to meet:

"Perhaps the immobility of things that surround us is forced upon them by our conviction that they are themselves and not anything else..." Is Proust trying to say I made Christopher Reeve a criple? Fuck. Damn.Anyways, it's a toss up between the Zak Attack and Kool Aid Man. If I need to be reminded of the importance of friendship... the Zak Attack for sure, but if I'm in prison and really thirsty, I think I would prefer Kool Aid Man burstin' through that wall.

Music:

hmm lots of things... in heavy rotation right now.... mostly Lucero, Drag the River, Lonely California (check him out), Curt Clendenin (check him out too), John Denver, & Jim Croche... but I also keep tossing on old Good Riddance, Visionaries, Elly Guerra, Amadou & Mariam, Murs, Rainer Maria, Leonard Cohen, Op Ivy, Deathcab, 2Mex, Johnny Cash, Felt, and lots of comps i've made.

Movies:

Citizen Kane, Adaptation, Seventh Seal, Shane, Sweet Smell of Success, Some Like It Hot, The Thin Man, Rushmore, Donnie Darko, Army of Darkness, Requiem For A Dream, any Cohen brothers pre-Intolerable Cruelty, Stevie, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Chinatown, Born To Kill, Boondock Saints, The Godfather, Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind, Punch Drunk Love, Empire Strikes Back, I Heart Huckabees, On the Waterfront, and a host of other films. Best movie I've seen recently... Fast Food Nation. If we ever watch a movie together, be forewarned, I hate almost everything.... yeah i'm sort of that asshole, but if I like you or you have boobies, there is a good chance I'll lie and say I liked it.

Television:

I REALLY love One Tree Hill. I especially like that one character and the words that they say. That's really awesome!

Books:

Reading now... Swann's Way (proust), Elementary Particles (houellebecq), The Sun Also Rises (hemingway), The Tipping Point (gladwell), and lots of William Blake and John Donne. Recent Reads: For Whom the Bell Tolls (hemingway), Assasination Vacation (vowell), Sharp Objects (flynn), The Zombie Survival Guide (brooks), A Long Way Down (hornby), and The Corrections (franzen). "hey I read borges, you think you could set me up with a table and a bottle?".... ooohhhh yes and i want to marry audible.com. Ohh yeah and I just started a book club... but... the first rule of book club is you don't talk about book club. so shhhhhhh.

Heroes:

Albert Camus dressed as Batman.
