About Me

..
Jeff Scheetz has released 7 CDs, including the highly successful "Pawn Shop" that was released on Bandai in Japan. He is well respected in the educational field and has released an instructional video, a book/CD combination, and most recently a 4 CD-rom course called "Rock Solid" and a single CD-rom course called "Rock Tricks", and a brand new course called "Blues Rock Secret Sauce". He has been featured in all the major Guitar mags: Guitar Player, Guitar FPM, Guitar World, Burrn (Japan), Hot Guitar (Korea), Cross Rhythms (Europe) and many more. He has been endorsed by Yamaha guitars, Ernie Ball Strings, Avlex mics, DC Cases. He has performed 300 guitar clinics across the country for Yamaha Guitars. He has toured the U.S., Mexico, and Europe, doing shows with the Scorpions, Cheap Trick, Joan Jett, Eric Johnson, ELO, .38 Special, Jeff Healey, Steve Vai and more. His new band's CD "Beggars, Rogues & Thieves" features raw bluesy rock guitar, killer soulful vocals and masterfully written songs. A few of the latest reviews below - "Jeff is a combination of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray all in one. "Beggars, Rogues & Thieves" sounds like the lost Eric Clapton album. These players are so good it's almost too much. Although this is not a major label release, it should be!" - IE magazine "Flawless, classic, firm, fat blues rock, with roots, funk and southern elements. You can feel the joy Jeff has in playing guitar. Inspired solos full of fire - absolutely great! It is a high level the band plays at!" - Barchem records "Emphasis on vibe, atmosphere and total artistry." - Grace and fury "If you don't have to pick your jaw up off the floor when you're finished listening to this cd the first time, then there's something wrong with you. Great stuff!" - CD Baby "From the opening jangly chords of "Beggars, Rogues & Thieves", this album started to evoke the Texas blues stylings of Stevie Ray Vaughan, thanks to a scratchy naked Strat sound, and then it veered into a whole other direction - that of funky fried blues! Songs like "Beautiful Day" and "Free my Soul" take Texas blues somewhere into the neighborhood of Jeff Beck and latter day Rory Gallagher territory with some fluid, groovy extended soloing. It's those moments when the music really soars!" - The fuze "Scheetz uses his trademark killer vibrato and fleet fingers to deliver an enormous sound shock." - Guitar 9 "A cross between Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and King's X" - 98.9 the rock "It`s a fine mix of Blues, Rock, Roots, Southern and Westcoast music filled with rich harmonies. If you like Gov`t Mule, The Allman Brothers, the Doobie Brothers or Stevie Ray it's a must have for you!" - Home of Rock

NAMM show thoughts

I played at the Spectraflex booth at the 08 NAMM show the weekend of Jan 18. Playing at the NAMM show is always a fun time, but it is usually even more fun getting to wander about and see other people...
