About Me

I got into home recording when I was 15. Then, it was basically a tool for songwriting and teaching myself harmony and how chords and melodies fit together in general on the guitar. When I was 18 I got a drum machine for graduation (who needs a car when you have a 4 track?) and started recording a lot of instrumental demos that eventually got me in the September '91 issue of Guitar Player Magazine in the Spotlight section for unsigned talent. I started playing in a couple of different bands and would still use the 4 track for song demos. Eventually, bands fall apart. Being a huge fan of multi-instrumentalists like Paul McCartney, Jason Falkner, Jon Brion, etc. I got more and more into playing other instruments (bass, keys, drums & singing) and doing home recordings to be able to have a fully realized copy of the songs that I write. I gave up on the dream to be a "rock star" long ago, but I still absolutley love writing and recording my original tunes. I play in a few different local bands for fun (California Voodoo, The Grand Fiasco, & The Gand Electric Score) and also occasionally do acoustic shows.
