You know? This whole ice age thing is getting old. You know what I could go for? A global warming. -

About Me

I spend my free-time helping to promote good / deserving new bands. They must be talented, hard-working, and have a real passion for their work. I only promote bands when I believe in them, since this isn't my job. I promote because it is a passion of mine, and I want to help the bands that deserve to be heard.
Other than that, I'm fun-loving & energetic! I love anything that keeps me active. I'll try anything once... twice if it keeps me entertained. The gym is a love of mine (we just need a nice gym around this area). I love being outdoors, in the sunshine. I also have a ridiculous passion for college football, the SEC in particular -- GO VOLS! I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and absolutely love the work! Obviously, one thing I must have in my life, is good live music. Having moved from Nashville to a small town, I struggle to find good local entertainers. If you know of any great musicians around the area....fill me in!! I love going to shows, and I travel to do so.
If you want to see TONS of pictures showing the craziness that goes on around me, check out this link: Kelley's Photo Album!

Drawing from influences ranging from Elvis to the Black Crowes, Ingram Hill's latest release, Junes Picture Show, rattles and rolls with bluesy rock fire. The arrangements are smart and taut and filled with hummable melodies both tender and tough. Chambless and Sowell provide the foundation, driving upbeat tracks like Never Be The Same and Hanging Around Again, and then locking into smoky, laidback grooves on To Your Grave and Maybe Its Me. Bogard soars above them, his guitar work an earthy blend of acoustic roadhouse soul and melodic barroom rock. Vocalist Moore brings June to life, offering warmly sung meditations on loneliness (Will I Ever Make It Home), unrequited love (Chicago) and family (The Captain). In To Your Grave, he tells the somber, unsettling story of a guy who kills his girlfriend and then himself. With On My Way, Waste It All On You and What If Im Right, the singer sifts through the wreckage of a broken relationship and looks to the renewal that follows. According to Moore, the songs were inspired by an old fling. I was devastated when it ended, but Im thankful for it now, he laughs. It's provided me with tons of material. I look at it as an emotional investment.
I call it pop rock with a Southern twist, Moore says. Someone once said that if there was a Southern Pop category, we'd own it. I kinda like that.

"Return To Self" ... The phrase alone makes you think. For the family that is Return To Self, the phrase means self worth, understanding, and the realization of what it is in life that makes you truly happy. When you wake up each day and look in the mirror, you have to be content and at peace with who you really are, and that in turn helps you "Return To Self". Best described as an energetic, commercial, melodic, hard rock band, the Nashville, TN based Return To Self is a band on the rise. In their short time together, RTS has already shared the stage and played festivals with the likes of 10 YEARS, TAPROOT, DARK NEW DAY, SEVENDUST, VELVET REVOLVER, STAIND, BREAKING BENJAMIN, SALIVA, NONPOINT, THREE DAYS GRACE, EVANS BLUE, REVELATION THEORY, SOIL, APEX THEORY, [MINUS DRIVER], BOBAFLEX, and many more. RTS is a band that prides itself on live performance. You have to experience them live to really appreciate what this group has to offer. The band has become a regional success playing to crowds as large as 600 + and filling some of the largest venues Nashville, TN has to offer. The band also gigs regularly in the Southeast and Midwest regions. RTS is a local favorite with spins on several Rock Radio stations in the region including 102.9 The Buzz Rocks in Nashville. This is not your average band. They are a tight knit group of friends who began paying their dues in the talented Nashville music scene in several different bands before finalizing the current line up. Brothers Brett and Brian "Dante" Moyer would start the foundation for this family in 1996. They soon added local bassist Jason "Golden" Hunt and Drummer/Percussionist Neal Davis and started work as a 4 piece. In 2003, the Moyers would reconnect with their long-time friend Todd "Mush" Fullford and RTS would officially be formed. Looking and sounding the part of a true rock frontman, Brett is a classically trained vocalist that brings experience from theater, choir, and an extreme passion and aggression for life experiences. Dante is an intense musician that brings the sound of modern rock, and his own unique blend of styles that is immediately recognized. An impressive guitarist as youll find, Mush has a passion for guitar giants such as Steve Vai and John Petrucci with influences of early rock/metal bands. Rounding out the lineup is the incredible rhythm section of Golden and Neal. Golden is a studio and drum corp. vet that brings with him one of the best stage shows you'll see. Neal is also a drum corp. vet bringing great chops and a solid back bone to the band. As an added tool, two of the members boast B.S. from the acclaimed Middle Tennessee State University Recording Industry program. "Return To Self" is a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming new wave of unsigned talent that is creating a national buzz. Drawing interest from major producers, A&R, and labels from L.A. to New York, RTS is a band that is determined to break down the walls of "Music City" and show everyone that Nashville is not just a country music town. Return To Self is the next big thing. Trust us.

On stage, Todd's radiant energy is infectious, as he creates a palpable connection with the audience from the first note, and exposes a rare transcendental quality often seen in only the most renouned artists. His multi-faceted shows carry through like a massive wave; building, rolling, barreling over and crashing, only to rise again and take form. With such dynamic arrangements, Todd delivers a rollercoaster of moods and emotions; ranging from heartache to hope, bitter contempt to empowering love, desperation to desire, and an overall celebration of the depths and polarities of human emotion. Cathartic delivery, an undeniable natural charisma, and prolific songwriting are the roots of this equation. The results are a cycling of moments from full-band soaring pop/rock songs to solo organic acoustic breakdowns, and just when you think you've seen it all, he'll take his solo status to a new level with looping and layering on-the-fly rhythms, textures, and vocal harmonies; creating an impromtu orchestra of sonic nuances.

With her acoustic-based, Americana and blues-influenced folk rock, Jodie Manross has become one of East Tennessee's trade's top singer-songwriters. Known as "the little woman with the big voice". Jodie possesses a powerful voice much larger than her size and surprises audiences with her soulful delivery of songs. Performing in concert halls, coffeehouses, and colleges throughout the United States, Jodie has opened for many talented, diverse musicians such as BB King, John Mayer, Scott Miller, Keb-Mo, Rusted Root, Jonatha Brooke, Jump (Little Children), Mindy Smith, Ingram Hill, Meshell Ndegeocello, Norman Blake, Garrison Starr, Peter Case, and Leon Russell. Jodie also had the honor of being a 2005 Bonnaroo Music Festival artist. Jodie is a contributing artist on the just released CD Beyond the Blues: A Tribute To Peter Case, which includes legends such as Victoria Williams, Joe Ely, Dave Alvin, Chuck Prophet, Lester Chambers, James McMurtry, Tom Russell, Kim Richey, Maura O'Connell and John Prine. This up and coming roots singer-songwriter breaks the traditional singer-songwriter mold and is refreshingly impossible to categorize. This year, Los Angeles Entertainment Weekly exclaimed, "Soon you'll be calling her "the Jodie Manross". With original music that embodies both grace and power, Jodie Manross is not to be missed.
