Suitcases end marriages and farming subsidies launch cataclysms.

About Me

Everyday I question my surroundings and call the weather man a liar. Insane by definition I live a life with three faces just like everyone else. The real trick is forgetting which face you have on so no one can call you false without becoming a hypocrite. A face for home, A face for work and a face for myself. A sarcastic curmudgeon afflicted with overwhelming optimism in search of a cure. A curious curiosity. A seeker of philosophy, an amalgam of everything I've ever read. Eight-fold in my lonesome.

My Interests

Fantasy, science fiction, horror, and offbeat comedy. I have a comic book collection circa 1995, my favorite issue is Weapon X #3 in the Age Of Apocalypse side-line, though my most valuable comic is probably Spawn #1. D&D, Old WOD, Exalted, Ravenloft (White Wolf only, screw you Wotc! Sellouts.), Shadowrun and Star Wars d20 all feed my tabletop gaming addiction.

I'd like to meet:

Shirley Manson at a cheap hotel, we'd make beautiful children you Irish banshee. The Mother of Invention, Old Man Winter, Father Time, The Old Man of the Sea from 'The Land Where The Shadows Fell', Princess Irulan and H.P. Lovecraft not necessarily in that order. ..
Study: Nearly 80 Percent Of Roommates Got So Drunk Last Night

Music:

Varied. 'Garbage', 'Weezer', 'Metalica', 'Sublime', 'Rage Against The Machine', 'Rob Zombie', 'White Zombie', and 'Pearl Jam' are deeply rooted from my high school years. Ambient , house, hard house, and psi-trance 'techno' came later. Techno is in quotes because I believe it no longer (or perhaps never did) accurately describes everything umbrella'd under the term. Newer additions to my eclectic tastes include 'Halou', 'Primus', 'Audioslave', 'The Last Trumpet', 'Joseph Israel' (Judaic Reggae), and a limited intake of 'Venus Hum' and 'Hooverphonic'. Country music causes high blood pressure.

Movies:

I like a good 'eastern', black and white samurai flicks are a guilty pleasure of mine. Yes, guns are a far more effective killing tool than a katana but a bullet hole resembles a scratch when you compare it to a deep cut. My favorite Kurosawa movie is 'Yojimbo' you might be familiar with the script as it is nearly identical to 'Last Man Standing' with Bruce Willis. Other favorites include 'In The Mood For Love' , 'Conan The Barbarian' (the second conan movie was a joke), 'NightWatch' , 'Daywatch', 'The Last Detail', 'Factotum', 'Quills' (Your fault Sam), 'Bubbahotep', 'Evil Dead' (1 and 2), 'Army Of Darkness', 'Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas', 'O Brother Where Art Thou', 'Everything Is Illuminated', 'American Splendor', 'Sideways', 'The Edge', 'Me, Myself, And Irene', '200 Cigarettes', 'The Prestige', 'Blood Diamond', 'Hollywoodland' (To quote my uncle 'Sh*t, Ben Afleck can act? '), 'The Black Dahlia', 'The Chumscrubber' and others.

Television:

The Flight Of The Conchords, Dexter, Smallville, Battlestar Galactica, *Brimstone, *Point Pleasant, *Firefly , and Dave Chapelle. The shows with * next to them were canceled by myopic, idiot networks. I feel obligated to mention that I absolutely hate reality television and consider it the preferred entertainment of the mentally challenged (Other Than 'Cops').

Books:

I'm particularly fond of Lovecraft, Frank Herbert, P.N., Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman, Steinbeck, Kerouac, Robert Frost, and Ann Victoria Roberts among others. The Dragonlance Chronicles deserve a special mention (Keep your pimp hand strong Sturm).

Heroes:

Chuck and Nick, someday you will fight to the death, and I'm going to videotape it.
