Joining creative forces Lady K (Kate Rigg) a poet/comedian/actor and Lyris Hung Slanty eyed mama was formed to find a voice for generasian-next. Cyber butoh Sato brings japanese modern traditional funk to the stage in eye popping dance arias. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------ Slanty Eyed Mama have rocked at The Black and Blue Ball in New York, the A/PI Heritage Fest in Union Square Park NYC, The Women In Performance Conference in Toronto, NPN's conference in LA, the Asian American Jazz Fest In Chicago, Michigan Womyn's Music Fest, LA Grand Performances at California Plaza, the Perth International Festival, he Philadelphia Inernational Fringe Fest, and clubs all over the country. Their work is featured in the PBS documentary Race is the Place, representin' for contemporary funky urban asians.----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -- "At full throttle an Urban machine" SF Chronicle; "Hello Kitty on Pharmaceuticals" Backstage magazine; "Ranging from cinematic forays into our media-saturated, consumer-driven, pop-cultural, wreckage-strewn landscape to simple almost balladlike evocations of longing, each poem was a sonic sculpture that easily transcended its particulars. Band Members: LADY K-SIAN (vocals, attitude) also known in the comedy world for her shows "Kate's Chink-O-Rama featuring the chink-o-rama dancers", "Birth of a nASIAN" (with the music of Slantyeyedmama) and "The Naughty Show". Lady K-Sian is into: drag pageants, bubble tea, high culture low culture, watching people do freakish things, modern dance recitals, tipping strippers, art deco, vintage cars, puns, long words and unlikely rhyme schemes. Also anything that involves a gogo dancer.

SATO ( aka. cyber butoh ) is into Japanese modern dance, trapeze, painting her body all white and running naked under cellophane.
LYRIS (electric violin, samples, beats, Tattoos.) Lyris is into death metal, gaming and fluffy animals
