The Mood Spheres LP is Woody Pak’s collection of film scores and soundtracks, displaying Pak's eclectic mix of classical, electronica, rock and pop sounds in this classical crossover composer's album.
“Mr. Pak’s album is right in line with the international trend toward ‘crossovers’, and while he stays true to the genre, his unique sensibility rooted in his love for independent film evidently shines through. Of particular note is the track titled ‘Falling Into You’ featuring Mr. Pak’s wife and jazz vocalist Gloria Lee in which the exquisite blend of Lee’s clear vocals and repetitive electric sounds create a dreamlike ‘rock-jazz’ conjuring violet colors. Pak’s album has 15 tracks each with its own unique ‘mood’, including ‘Perfection’ and others.†–Evelyn Park, Daily Sports Seoul LA
“…these songs are linked by an underlying gravity that lends them a depth and intricacy that only comes through after multiple listenings. Pak’s fluency in diverse musical styles is an asset that allows him to seamlessly meld multiple musical genres. But what this collection more importantly reveals is the strength and consistency of his compositional vision.†– Paul Yoon, Bowling Green University
"Pak's music sets a mood and you can certainly visualize how the music might represent an image if you close your eyes while listening to the album..." -Nels of Aarising.com
HYPED URBAN REMIX - WOODY PAK feat. RPIME 2/27
Bringing together his love and penchant for mashing up disparate styles of music, Woody Pak, a seasoned guitarist/composer/music producer, introduces us to his latest live music project with the WOODY PAK BAND. Pak brings us his funky party rock-rap tracks with the help of young funk rockers Nathan Park (bass), Jason Lee (drums), EJ Fernandez (sax) and fresh LA rapper Prime. Woody Pak’s virtuosic funk rock coupled with Prime’s urban rap makes for a high energy party rock sound reminiscent of Prince’s funk rock or Run DMC’s collaboration with Aerosmith.
