Envy Parade - NEW TRACK!

Hold The Smile That Feels Like Home - Out Now!

About Me

Style vs. Substance. Are we listening with our ears or our eyes? You ponder this as you wait for a band to play. They are sound-checked, tuned up, and ready to go. As the house lights dim you close your eyes, and you listen.

A single synth rings out, like jet engines firing up for take off. Drums, guitars and bass soon ignite, and the band is fully airborne. A voice cries out, both soothing and slicing you with a melody that has an instant familiarity, before a spine shivering scream devours what is left of this massive soundscape.

Open your eyes. This is Envy Parade.

They jump, dance, and rock around the stage with a confidence that only comes with extensive live experience, having performed more than 150 shows since their humble beginnings in 2006. Their raw emotion resonates through the crowd and lasts long after they have left the stage, with random outbursts of 'Just Forget It' being heard from the front of the stage to behind the bar.

Envy Parade's debut EP 'Silent Confessions' showcases the band's distinctively fresh mix of various alternative genres, with influences such as Taking Back Sunday, Underoath, The Ataris and Emery shining through.

Tyron's lyrics draw from his personal experiences, and are expressed with a melancholy sweetness that further impresses the sincerity of his words. These brutally honest tales are driven home by compelling guitar riffs and a tight rhythm section. Tyron explains, “We like to take the audience on a journey with our songs, it’s not about fashion or commercialism, it’s about passion and emotion.”

On the strength of their EP release "Silent Confessions", and their growing reputation for dynamic live shows, Envy Parade have shared the stage with great Australian acts such as Angelas Dish, Gyroscope, Fifty Sixx, Braxton, The Valley, Town Hall Steps, Stealing O'Neil and Unpaid debt.

'Just Forget It' earned Envy Parade a place amongst the top five rock bands in Australia for the MusicOz awards; a fitting reward for a song that has stood the test of time to become a well known crowd favourite, and a testament to the band's songwriting skills.

'Hold The Smile That Feels Like Home' see's them return with a more mature sound and really shows that the band has come into a sound of their own.

2008 will see Envy Parade hit the road again bigger and better than ever. They won't be a band to see... They'll be a band hard to miss!
