The Hotel Charlie

The Hotel Charlie doesn't know you either

About Me

Let’s be honest here. No pretence. Right now the music industry is a fickle being. Tastes, fads and trends all change on an almost daily basis. Artists come and go. A band that has worked hard for years will get a small mention in the glossy pages of a music magazine. Then next thing you know, the page has been turned in search of what the next name to drop will be. And to get to that point in this wide world of music, a band either needs to be incredibly lucky or incredibly good looking. The Hotel Charlie, like their peers, are still figuring out where their real home in this world is. Are they destined to be the next big thing in whatever scene they get grouped into? Do they get the approval of the countless critics and hipsters who decide what “good” or “real” music is? At the same time, they’re asking the question: Is there hope for a band who simply want the world to listen to the songs they’ve spent hours, weeks, even years refining? Their varied musical influences have seen them compared to artists such as Saosin, Alexisonfire and Glassjaw. However, The Hotel Charlie are not interested in being typecast as just another post-hardcore band. Instead their moving melodies and soaring guitars over a bed of powerhouse drumming allows them to avoid such mantles and sees them draw a crowd of varied tastes. At the first listen, one can tell that this outfit does what they do out of an honest love for music. It is this honesty and devotion to the music they love that is The Hotel Charlie’s strongest selling point. Something about honesty in music has become the new black. They know this. They know that it is easy to come and go overnight using smoke and mirrors. So The Hotel Charlie make that effort to avoid getting caught up in the trivialities, the pretences and the trends, and instead pound home that point that “what you hear is what you get.” It’s this lack of smoke and mirrors that is making The Hotel Charlie turn heads. It’s the hooks, riffs, beats and sincerity that stay in your head after the stop button has been pressed. But the stop button doesn’t stay pressed for long …BANNERS FOR YOUR ELECTRONIC DECORATION NEEDS
