McKeesport natives, home of Swinn Cash WNBA, Mike Logan NFL, Russell Stuvant NFL, Brandin Short NFL, Mano y Mano has been in the rap game a long time showing support to other local artist in the area and also bringing a little culture to the Burgh with their Latin flavor, which tends to stand out in a our city of very little Hispanic culture. The 2 brothers go by the names of Sosa Smooth a/k/a CO a/k/a Colossus and none other than WAMO'S (PITTSBURGH ..1 HOME FOR HIP HOP AND R&B) own J-Kruz a/k/a Omega. This group has performed and opened for several national acts that have come to the city of Pittsburgh (i.e. Beanie Siegel and freeway (twice), AZ, Isis, Mr. Cheeks, Pretty Ricky, DJ Clue, Noriega, and Run DMC. They have performed in over 30-40 local performances with other local artist, including Pittsburgh's own CRAVE. You can also catch them on TV on the Pittsburgh local City Channel for a promotional video they did for a company called YOUTH WORKS. This promotional video is just a tip of the ice burgh for Mano Y Mano, they also released a mix tape self-titled Mano Y Mano. 10,000 copies were distributed for "Free" in all surrounding areas, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York, Ohio, and D.C. You can catch WAMO's own J-Kruz Monday - Friday from 7-12pm on Pittsburgh ..1 rated night show the BadBoyz with Kode Wred and J-Kruz. He's well know in the city for playing the hits and keeping you moving with nothing but exclusives you wont hear anywhere else. Listen for their new singles Shut The Club Down "Jiggy-Jiggy" and the remix with Tierra Marie "Girl Feel" which are making a lot of noise in all the clubs in the Pittsburgh area. All three songs are getting air play on WAMO and BDS numbers are available. Record sales and Sound Scan coming soon due to the overwhelming requests on WAMO for Shut The Club Down. Last but not least Mano Y Mano is getting the corporate money. Cricket Communications hired these boyz to make a rap song for their new prepaid phone called JUMP MOBILE. 10,000 copies of the song were printed and distributed in all major retail stores. Cricket Communications phone company , a multimillion dollar company held auditions for the rap jingle and the got it with flying colors. Free copies were given out a WAMOS Summer Jam 2005 at the Cricket booth after a live performance by the group. The cd can also be found at all 6 Cricket locations, in other words Mano Y Mano is this years, Cricket and JUMP MOBILE poster boyz. Coming soon these brothers will be releasing their new Spanglish single (its not reggaeton or hip hop its both) which they will market in Latino markets all across the east coast and with the help of Neisa Beatz theres no stopping them. Theyre young, marketable, and good-looking, but besides all that, they are talented and original, these boys are here to start trends not follow them.
