I'm interested in human behavior, psychology, reading, writing, I'm a musician (guitarist), theology, philosophy, photography, theatre, film (of course), and pretty much just sitting around pondering all the unanswerable shit that life has to offer (my favorite director is Richard Linklater).
Anyone who works in or is interested in working the film industry, and just generally cool people.
I love music, I listen to at least a little of every genre on a regular basis. There's way too much for me to list it all so I'll just tell you that I range from Led Zeppelin to Motzart to Tupac to Coldplay and everything in between.
Now comes the fun part, I know that you might have been expecting to see some huge list of my favorite films, but I don't want to be here all night writing it out and I'm pretty sure you don't want to spend all night reading it. So, here's a couple short films that I directed/wrote/edited, let me know what you think, even if you passionately hate them...enjoy!Bus Stop (2004)Two complete strangers "meet" while waiting for a bus, although they never speak to one another. This is what I consider to be my best work, done on a budget of about $12.Niether of these films would have been possible without the help of alot of people, particularly: Frank Ledezma, Angel Valenzuela and Carlo Costales, not to mention every actor and crew member whose ever worked with us."Bottom 2 tha Top" (Directed by Carlo Costales) I did the cinematography for this music video performed by the VERY talented Kashus P. and featuring the beautiful as well as talented Candis Francis and directed by the one and only Carlo Costales.
I don't watch much T.V. mainly do to a show called "24", this show is more freakin' addictive than crack. To Explain: every time I left the house I found my self programming the V.C.R. to record whatever episode I was gonna miss. Eventually, I realized that I had become a complete slave to Keifer Sutherland and Co. So, in an effort not to get to the point where I'm watching a program in one room while recording one in another, which can really piss off family members, when someone raves to me about the pure genius of a show that isn't 24, I make it a point not to watch it....That being said, DVD is a wonderful thing and I have no problem watching T.V. shows on my own schedule.Best T.V. shows to watch on DVD:Entourage Family Guy Sex and the City The Simpsons South Park 24 (T.V. or DVD, this is just good shit)
My favorite book of all time (cliched as it may be) is "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger, anyone who has never read this brilliant piece of literature should do so immediatly.Everything else I read is usually pretty well known (Thomas Harris, John Steinbeck, Nick Hornby, Shakespeare, Stephen King, ect. Any book about film or screenwriting will usaually captivate me). I've never really been good at "discovering" books usually they're recomended to me by a bunch of people before I read them.
In no particular order:Richard Linklater, Steven Speilberg, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, Brain Depalma, Paul Thomas Anderson, Spike Lee, Billy Wilder, Cameron Crowe, Spike Jonze, Micheal Gondry, Alfred Hitchcock, Quinten Tarantino, Robert Rodrigez, Woody Allen, Kevin Smith, Oliver Stone, Alexander Pane, Steven Soderberg, Sam Mendes, Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubric, Charlie Kaufman, J.D.
