Not a fan of too much new televison..altho I like The Terminator:Sarah Conner Chronicles...I like old shows....MASH, Twillight Zone, Outer Limits, Kolchak the Night Stalker, Dr Who, Magnum PI,Threes Company, Fantasy Island,Happy Days ( when Fonzie was still a hood ), All in the Family, Honeymooners,Land of the Lost, Roseanne...I like the History Channel, and Discovery, and Animal Planet...I love things like Behind the Music, which is interesting even when its a band I dont particularly like..A and E Biography is cool...I love Japanese stuff like Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Captain Harlock, Kikaida,Super Sentai,Henshin Hero shows...Anything I watch seems to be on DVD anyhow...

The Alienist and Angel of Darkness by Caleb Carr... Any of the serial killer books by Harold Schechter. And some comics....particularly anything by Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore.
People I admire, sure...anyone who gets off their ass and TRIES. Maybe they dont get to win a grammy, or an academy award, or a pulitzer or whatever..but they work their ass off for something they love BECAUSE they love it...I admire people who do no-budget films on weekends with volunteers, I admire indie bands and musicians who self-finance their own 'back of the van' tours...I admire people who read at poetry slams, or who put out their own zines...If you love it, DO IT;maybe you wont get famous, but at least youre not fucking boring and asleep like the rest of the American sedated.
