Exawatt :: old skool prog metal

About Me

Perugia based Power Progressive Metal band EXAWATT was assembled during 1991 by singer Luca Benni and drummer Stefano Coletti. The group would be bolstered with the acquisition of keybord player Andrea Corsetti in 1994. EXAWATT folded in 1996, but was to resurrect itself the following year, introducing new members Daniele Palloni on guitar and Francesco Strappaveccia on bass. EXAWATT released a promo CD in 2001 entitled 'Promo 2001' and the science fiction themed '2K2' in 2002. EXAWATT played as support for Pain of Salvation, Rhapsody singer Fabio Lione, Labyrinth, Domine, Vision Divine, Secret Sphere, Linea 77. "Time Frames includes the cover version of "Odissea Veneziana" by Rondò Veneziano, a successful italian band of the 80's that fused classical musical influences of the 18th. together with modern elements (drums, bass guitar and synth).

New album & new shows

Finally we can write some news about Exawatt. We spent last year closed in "Wizard studio" (with Andrea's magic hands) to write new songs. Then we recorded demos for the new album; we have news tracks...
