My Interests

music, culture, biking, swimming, ... and most of all flâning in Geneva.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone into Music, Absinthe and Anthroposophy... all those who walk into the Shadow of the Sun !

Music:

from Death In June (85-96 era) to Dead Can Dance, including Arvo Part, Sol Invictus, Wim Mertens, Johann Johannsson, Nine Circles, Swans, Nick Drake, Sieben/Matt Howden, In Gowan Ring, John Dowland, Editors, TV on the Radio, Blonde Redhead, Joy Division, Fad Gadget, etc. etc. etc. and sometimes songs by Wolfgang Press, Nick Cave, Velvet Underground, Scott Walker, Roy Harper, Brel, Piaf, Daniel Darc and many more. Strong influenced by labels such as Factory, Mute, 4-AD, Fast, Industrial, and more or less (and for various reasons) Sordide Sentimental, L'Invitation au Suicide, Some Bizarre... I love every single release of Shayo Music, but especially In Gowan Ring "Hazel steps" and "Twin Trees", November "-" and Julia Kent "Delay" that I am actually so proud of !

Movies:

In the past I used to love Peter Greenaway (that I finally met during the "Stairs" exhibition in Geneva, 1994) but now I also like old classics such as The Wicker Man, Le Vieux Fusil, Louis Malle's Lucien Lacombe and Le Feu Follet, The Man who would be King, Das Blaue Licht, The Medusa Touch (La Grande Menace in french, but I definitely prefer the original english title), The Devils, The Seventh Seal of Bergman, Fahrenheit 451, Visconti's Damned, The Night Porter, etc. and before all : every films by islandish Fridrik Thor Fridriksson, especialy Children of Nature. And I don't like so much Pasolini, and David Lynch... but I like very much South Park !

Television:

Arte + 3sat, sometimes.

Books:

Blaise Cendrars' Moravagine, then Drieu La Rochelle's Feu Follet, Malaparte's Kaputt, Mishima, Genet, Huysmann, Hermann Hesse, Rilke, Goethe, Walter Benkamin, Baudelaire, etc. Like also very much the book about Fiumme/D'annunzio's ephemeral republic wrote by Claudia Salaris, and the philosophy of boredom by swedish writer Lars Fr. H. Svendsen (as well as "Cutlure of Narcissism" of Chr. Lasch, that I higly recommend to everyone !). I collect Skira - Book of Arts Edition (old Geneva's company, now disapeard unfortunately)- and appreciate Jean Clair's writing about exhibitions (especialy the domain of the Symbolists)

Heroes:

...nous tournons en rond dans la nuit et nous sommes dévorés par le feu.
