"Nuit Blanche: Poems for Late Nights" edited by Liisa Ladouceur
My friend Liisa has just finished editing a poetry book. It is called Nuit Blanche: Poems for Late Nights, and it's a collection of writing about "white nights" and the things we do in the dark. Inside, you'll find poems from Liisa, Gemma Files, Zoe Whittall, Brian Joseph Davis and 15 other great writers.
"Swiss Design in Hollywood" exhibition
I am currently working with Europe's museum of science fiction, utopia and extraordinary journeys, Maison d'Ailleurs, in Switzerland.
At present, we are producing an exhibition for the Swiss Arts Council, Pro Helvetia. The show focuses on Swiss artists and designers within the film and video game sectors.
The exhibition is entitled "Swiss Design in Hollywood" (working title), it will be exhibited for the first time in Summer 2008, and will tour globally thereafter.
Maison d'Ailleurs (http://www.ailleurs.ch) has been commissioned to create a new touring exhibition for Pro Helvetia (http://www.pro-helvetia.ch).
The purpose of this exhibition is to show the work, influence and impact of Swiss artists working on major film or video game productions (not necessarily in the "fantastic" genre).
Key artists who have confirmed their participation include H.R. Giger, Deak Ferrand, John Howe and Christian Scheurer.
