THE O.G.G.

About Me

The O.G.G. (Oscillating Groove Guru) is the more upbeat works of composer/producers Nick Hutton and Will Moore. Mostly aimed at a more foot tapping experience say than from Nick's other musical projects that favor a more laid back approach. Aiming at the more expressive songs of the dance music genre. The O.G.G. has set its sights on bringing out the song within a dance track to put out a more down to earth touch to these sounds. But not every track ...."Bumper Sticker" however aims itself quite squarely at the more "Phat" sound of the floor and makes no bones about aiming to get you to sweat it out. The continual back and forth between London and Stockholm has given Nick an impetus to write a more "wide eyed" feel than either London or Stockholm alone would have offered and the minimalistic love in Scandinavia is echoed in the tracks "In your Arms" and "Slipping" where a certain Nordic influence is felt. Writer/singer Nick loves analogue sounds especially those that harken back to the mid to late 70s simply because there is a lot of power in that analogic vibe. "Sampling takes up a large part of my time..." Nick muses "as does certain software tools such as Propellerheads Reason that have played a vital role in bringing forth this groove and there is "mucho respecto" for those guys over in Sweden." Nick's other projects include several bands, composing for film and tv, sound designing, as well as producing. All in all a very busy schedule. Meanwhile Will is (when not being an executive producer) doing his bit to save the planet working for Global Cool (www.global-cool.com) where his extensive experience within the music industry has enabled him to work with the major artists who lend their voice to help raise the awareness of Global Warming and what we all can do about it.
