Jet Jaguar

From the Military-Industrial Complex

About Me

Formed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 2001, Jet Jaguar is Charles Van de Kree, Philippe Byrnes, Ron Grissom, Roland Thoms and Joey Mach. Named after a robot in a Godzilla movie, the group combines the high energy of punk and the heavy riffing of metal with the robotic, technology-laden sound of industrial and the drifting dreamscapes of ambient. Obsessed with visions of science-fiction apocalypse, the group's songs are terminally preoccupied with aeronautics, interstellar exploration, robotics, cloning, androidology, virtual reality, biomolecular mutation and nuclear genocide. Thus far, the group has released three full-length albums and two EPs. The group's next project, 3rd Millennium Power Drive will be released in the summer of 2007 by Overlord Records. ____________________________________________________________ __DISCOGRAPHY ____________________________________________________________ __ ALBUMS ____________________________________________________________ __ 2002 Free Space [Aktivator] 2004 Billion Year Spree [Aktivator] 2007 Space Anthem [Black Widow] 2007 3rd Millennium Power Drive (Forthcoming) [Overlord]__________________________________________________ ____________ EPS ____________________________________________________________ __ 2002 Retrofit! Sounds Like:Jet planes crashing through the sound barrier, rockets exploding through the Van Allen Belt, lasers firing from an orbital space station, alien rayguns disintegrating human flesh, neon flashing on city streets, liquid metal falling from a cold gray sky, robots fucking on a smooth steel floor, thunder in a subterranean cavern, the collision of protons in a particle accelerator, the crackle of electricity in a Tesla coil, a Cylon raider attack, a brain being probed by electrode fingers, a neutron star collapsing under the force of gravity, the shockwave after a 50 megaton nuclear explosion, a Space Invaders game on acid, the hum of machinery on the outskirts of an industrial megalopolis, an android dreaming of the god of biomechanics, computers talking to one another about global domination, a U.F.O. crash landing on Devils Tower, two planets colliding, radio transmissions from the Monolith, the death scream of a melting droid, what your hovercar stereo will play in 2053
