About Me

Greatest Band in the World: Nevermore!
Greetings
I'm Chris, 36. I grew up in Chicago and I still live nearby. My passions in this life are my music and comic books! My prized possession is my brand-spankin'-new 2007 Rickenbacker 4003 bass! For me there is no substitute: Rickenbackers are the best bass for all-over versatility!
I also have a real fascination for ghost hunting and the paranormal in general. I just find the medium fascinating and intriguing. I recommend watching Ghost Hunters on the Sci-Fi channel on Wednesdays. It's a great show.

As for music, I've listened to heavy metal all of my life but also dig the blues, electronic/synth pop (EBM) and industrial that ISN'T NIN crap. I live and die by the heavy metal sword. I also read and collect comic books (Spider-Man is my favorite Marvel, with Batman my DC favorite). I just passed the 14,000-books mark so I'm slowly moving myself out of my abode!
I'm also a bassist that dabbles with guitar (I current have a Dean Dimebag that you can see on my pics page) with custom pickups that my buddy Terry Babicz from Chicago's true metal band Adversary installed for me. Check their page if you can.
I also write CD reviews for Midwest Metal webzine; check the banner and visit Tom & co., who tirelessly gives 150% to our scene! Thanks, bro...we appreciate it!!
Speed, death, some old black, power (80s Helloween-era), gothic, if it's true metal void of MTV-backing or silly keyboards running rampant throughout, chances are I'm into it or will try it out.
My current CD review/play list (for those that care)in no particular order at all:
01. Nevermore - You name it, CDs, bootlegs, EVERYTHING!
02. Vader - ALL of it!
03. Black Asylum - Victims of the Fall EP
04. Agent Steel - Alienigma
05. Evile - Enter the Grave
06. October File - Holy Armour from the Jaws of God
07. Lord Weird Slough Feg - Hardworlder
08. Exorcist - After the North Winds demo (Polish metal from '87!)
09. Bathory - EVERYTHING!
10. Scarlet Sins - Scarlet Sins

adopt your own virtual pet!
Other than music & comic books I like to write when the muse appears. I also love reading about, and have a supreme obsession with the paranormal, supernatural, true ghost stories, things of that nature. I'm also trying to learn my Grandmother's native tongue, Polish.
The people who hold my admiration and respect are my mother and father and my friends. I also admire Mickey Mantle, all true metal bands standing true to their convictions and not selling out, Gregory Peck, Clint Eastwood, the T.A.P.S. ghost investigators gang, Alexander the Great, Fred Thompson (2008!), Bill O'Riley, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Freddie Mercury, Edward Norton, Christopher Reeve, Sam Elliot, Sophia Loren, Randy Rhoads, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee: anyone strong and smart enough to make a decision and stick with it, no matter what it costs them. I also have a deep-seated infatuation for Katrin Siska and Mariska Hargitay!!

I'd like to meet:

I love comic books and anything to do with the industry. I also work at All-American Comics in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Fourteen-thousand comic books keep me busy! Heroes:

I'm mostly Polish with a bit of German and Irish. I'm very interested in learning about Poland, where my Grandmother was born. My Polish heritage is my third passion.
We should NEVER forget... ...remember our heroes ALWAYS!

I also love animals and my dear friend Tracy has dedicated part of her life to helping animals around here, so if you can click the banner and show support - we'd appreciate it! It's all not-for-proft - some people still care enough to do the right thing without dollar signs! That's part of why I love her!
The ASPCA helps animals every day by donations. Check it out if you can?
