About Me

Invection started in the beginning of summer 2007 when 4 highschool friends who all had the same interests in music decided to start a band. The band had many problems with gear, finding a place to practice etc until they finally established a connection with Soundwave Studios in West Oakland. A few changes in guitarists and vocalists led to the 5 piece lineup; Nick Hooshmand, Rory, Andrew Kubiak, Andy Lindquist and John Haag. However, after a year full of constant shows, in summer of 2008 we had to part ways with our rhythm guitarist Rory. With studio time booked in September, as a four piece, we recorded a new 2-song demo simply titled "Incarcerate". Shortly after finishing the "Incarcerate" recordings we found local thrasher Jeremy Power to fill the slot as there new rhythm/lead guitarist. The end of 2008 was spent promoting the "Incarcerate" Demo and playing a handful of shows to break in their new guitarist and unfortunately in the beginning of December, Andy decided that he didn't want to be playing in Invection any longer and left. But not stopping us we already found a replacement, Joe Estaban. In late 2008/early 2009 Invection parted ways with old vocalist Nick and now have Andrew doing vocals/guitar. We're going into the studio in March to record our new 6 song EP, "Demented Perception". Shortly after we recorded, Jeremy and Joe decided that they wanted to leave to pursue other musical interests. Very shortly after though, Drew approached us and our original bassist, Andy decided to come back. We plan on promoting "Demented Perception" and playing many many shows throughout 2009. With this new smashing line up we feel stronger and better then ever and have MANY big plans coming your way so be sure to try and keep up!
