Dude Dude Chick formed in 2004 when three veteran musicians came in met in Dresden Germany.
Two American expats and some drummer chick from Plauen set out to rock out like they were supposed to.
But happy times took a turn for the worse when the drummer stopped showing up to rehearsal, then gigs.
She also still owes me like fifty Euro and has my Funky Meters cd.
Not wanted to let 'em see 'em sweat, the two surviving members take turns playing the drums -- they decided not to get a permanent replacement just in case she comes back.
While the studio recordings have a certain quirky electronica and drum-loopish feel, that's just due to limited recording facilities and lack of some real bread to record some good shit. It's the live show, however, that people dig.
Dude Dude Chick live is an acoustic punkrock duo. They don't give a damn about distortion or bass.
They are, and choose to be, what fate has made them. After the loss of their third member, they know they'll never be whole again. But that ain't nearly enough to keep them from rocking their asses off.
