Stillhouse was formed in 1998 by Raleigh, NC singer-songwriter Dave Wilson. The first incarnation of the band, which included Greg Readling on pedal steel/piano and Jay Brown on bass, performed only live for a couple of years. Zeke Hutchins joined the group on drums in 2000, and Stillhouse continued to perform their brand of 70's inspired singer-songwriter rock, reminiscent of Buffalo Springfield, The Band, Badfinger, or Emitt Rhodes. A few years ago guitarist/vocalist and songwriter Johnny Irion joined the band. These five guys are the musicians on Through the Winter. All the songs were written by Dave Wilson.
