HongKongathon

Tighten up, loosey goose!

About Me

HERE THEY ARE! NEW TRACKS! "Boskie" and "Sad Universe" are old songs, but they are also the new tracks. Enjoy them!HongKongathon was born in the bosom of the Wing household in Park Slope, Brooklyn, in the year 2001. Eli Wing, Sam Brodsky and Ian Olasov were and remain to be the original members of the group. In the summer of '01, the three gentlemen contacted a dear old friend of Eli's, Adam Bernstein, and asked him to play bass. He did. HonKongathon's first show was in a parking lot in Queens . . . about 30 people, most of which were their friends, were in attendance. Now, roughly 5 years later, HongKongathon has gone through many changes. They've changed bassists four times over (Adam Bernstein, Jon Koza, Matthew Namer and then Alex Wing) and have changed lead singers as well (Sam and Eli, Jenny Hartman, Matthew Namer, Laura O'Reily, back to Matt, and finally Kim Anderson). In addition, HongKongathon has gone on to play such places like the Knitting Factory, CBGB's, North Six, The Lucky Cat, Rare, L'amour and many others. Truly, HongKongathon is a good band . . . truly . . .
