About Me

I started my musical life in a band called One Stoned Snowman (don't ask!), whose members later went on to form Mostly Autumn. Through them I met the lovely Charlie Daykin and we formed a duo called The Accidental Tourists. During our time together we wandered o'er hill and dale (invariably because we were lost), and occasionally across the sea to 'Europe'. We had a great time playing with fantastic musicians like Aimee Mann, All about Eve and Eddie Reader. I then joined Chumbawamba, and toured around said Europe with them for 4 years, including playing at Glastonbury in 2004. A muddy experience! I've kept my boots from that year as a memento. I didn't even clean them! (Maybe they're not a memento - maybe I just couldn't be bothered to clean them)
I loved my time with Chumba, playing great music and having a laugh with the coolest and most inspirational bunch of people I've ever met. One of my lasting memories will always be watching Danbert Nobacon play in a nude football match at a festival in Italy. Believe me, there's nothing funnier than naked folk running around in socks and boots (no offence Dan).
Hope to see you at a gig in the near future, and I'll be asking you to listen to my offerings very soon!
Mish x
