If you could combine R&B’s emotion with the lyricism of Hip-Hop and give it a name it would be Rob Seven. His powerful lyrics in combination with his smooth soulful voice make this young man a force to be reckoned with. Through his use of unique concepts and angles he has the ability to take audiences on a new journey with every new song heard. Some people just write while others just sing or play. This young man has it all. Rob Seven had been rightfully deemed “The Complete Package”.
From his birth in Pearl City, HI on March 23rd, 1987 to the present day this young man has been on a path to something extraordinary. Raised by his single mother and influenced by her strength and wisdom, he has adapted her indomitable will and the ability to speak from the depths of his soul. At age 12, his mother bought him a keyboard for Christmas, and for months he sat at that keyboard tinkering away at the keys. One evening his mother came down to his basement room to tell him to turn the radio down. To her surprise she found her son singing a song that left her in awe. This day began the path of Rob Seven.
He has been influenced by many people along the way. His biggest influence would most definitely be his mother who was a record Promoter during his early childhood. He was taught and trained by his uncle and his style is a culmination of artists he admires, his talented family, and the gifted group of artists that are his friends. He brings together R&B, Soul, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and even techno to define his style.
He is bridging the gaps in music as a writer with amazing versatility. His goal is to redefine what people know as genre separated music and allow music to just be music. He intends to be a name known not only nationally and internationally but universally if at all possible. To him there are no limits, no barriers, Nothing but music.
