About Me

Super Rainbow Magic Patrol, the name being chosen in a competition, was formed after the ending of Matt, James, and Rich's former band - Proximity Effect. After auditioning singer(s), we settled on Alex, and the four piece became complete.

We play a combination of funk and rock, creating a sound very similar to the influences listed, making it fun to watch and dance to. We have now been together nearly a year and have been playing lots in and around B'ham. We proudly finished 4th in a regional battle of the bands, and are now through to round two of the Surface Unsigned Festival. Check back for dates and come see us play!

Small matter of a band name...

WETSOCK! Or at least we were, until matt discovered ther is already a band called wetsock. Now we are BUP Sock, for the time being at least. Think of a band name for us, comment it, winner gets a free...
