About Me

Seriously people, get out there and vote!!!

Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker.

I like my coffee black...

just like my metal.

Oh, hello there. You startled me. I'm Jonel, a mild internet curiosity. I like video games and figuring out ways to get money without working. Losing limbs while on the job seems to be my most successful effort, but I'm always on the look out for more. I write random blogs in which you may read at your leisure. Anyway, the important thing is to give me lots and lots of money.AIM

My Interests

"Passion has little to do with euphoria and everything to do with patience. It is not about feeling good. It is about endurance. Like patience, passion comes from the same Latin root: pati. It does not mean to flow with exuberance. It means to suffer."

I'd like to meet:

My Secret Agent Lover Man. People who are fun to be around. Anyone without a MySpace. Someone who can spell correctly. ANYONE who can keep my attention for longer than 30 seconds.:-]

"I'm rather easily carried away."

Devin Townsend You

Music:

Mindless Self Indulgence, AFI- forever and always, Akira Yamaoka, The Smiths, DANZIG, Martin Martini and the Bone Palace Orchestra, Built to Spill, The Album Leaf, Smashing Pumpkins, Insomnium, Mercenary, Cloud Cult, Interpol, Modest Mouse, The Distillers, Siouxsie and the Banshees, In Flames, Jimi Hendrix, Dead Prez, Sublime, Dream Theater, Mogwai is pretty good, and lots of other stuff, I guess.

You know what, I'm really into just about everything. Oh! I like that Jesus Christ Superstar thing, that was pretty cool. It's like I don't know where to go to find good music. I know there are music shows, and every jerk with an opinion thinks he knows who the best band is, but he's just another trendy nerd, and I really can't be associated with the MTV crowd. Also, there are those music geeks with the funny glasses who say they know everything there is to know about music and that every popular band ever in the history of the world is crap unless they've been dead for 30 years. I can't be around those people for long without having fantasies involving sharp objects and scraggly unshaven throats.

Movies:

Hm... Crash, Natural Born Killers, City of God, Drop Dead Fred, Spun, Amelie, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Animal Crackers, Imaginary Heroes, and everything from Monty Python.
Oh! And the one about the hero and the girl, and he's like fighting the bad guy, and the bad guy's about to win, and he can't do it, but then, oh, he does it - that's awesome!
Then there's the one about the repressed guy and the free spirit girl, and she's so wacky and up-beat and he's too sour and down-beat and you think "man, they are never going to get together" but then the down-beat guy triumphs over the jerky guy and the guy and girl are love. Oh, it's magic. Then she dies and he has learned something important like cancer is bad or something and everybody's emotions are sad and happy at the same time. Plus, one of them was rich.

Television:

I love those cartoons that aren't your normal cartoons. Oh no, they are adult cartoons. 'Cause you know I enjoyed cartoons as a child, but as I grew older they didn't appeal to me, so these new ones are perfect. They have jokes that speak to me. They have humor based on common cliches. Enjoyment all around!

Books:

Wells, Hesse, Orwell, Danielewski, Rankin, Dumas, Melville, Rice, Lovecraft, Rowlings, Lewis, Plath, Paolini, Adams, Martel, Vonnegut, Rowling, Grimm, Kesey, Salinger, Carroll, Sinclair, Tolkein, Steinbeck...

I live in two worlds. One is a world of books. I've been stranded on a raft with a bengal tiger named Richard Parker, been framed and imprisoned in the Château d'If, solved mysteries with the help of Eddie Bear, rode a sad train with Elli Friedmann, hunted a white whale aboard the Pequod, attended a mad tea party, and have entered a fabulous and haunting world in the dreams of Randolph Carter. It's a rewarding world.

Read anything by Dostoevsky.

Heroes:

Activists, artists, environmentalists, musicians, writers, veterans.
Thats just the beginning.

And Jill came tumbling after.

"How do we tumble down a hill? A foot place incautiously on an unsteady rock or loosened turf, an ankle twisted or a knee buckled, and of a sudden we are gone, our body lost to our own control until w...
