SNX Entertainment is a group of artists/producers/engineers/writers from Dyckman-NYC with Dominican background representing the Latin Hip-Hop/Reggaeton movement. We've gathered our resources to form a record label to produce, market, promote, distribute our style of music to the world, and put Dominicans/Dyckman on the Map.Snatch aka Sage aka Chela, a Dominican Native raised in NYC (Uptown and The Bronx), is the President/Producer/Artist of the team. Her environment introduced her to Hip Hop during her early childhood and sparked a desire to do Hip Hop music. During High School she began writing lyrics, making beats, and preparing herself for a career in the music industry.Xtro D Nare aka Mista X, a NYC (Uptown-Dyckman) Native with Dominican and Cuban background, is the CEO/Engineer/Artist of the team. He’s also been around Hip Hop since a youth. Began writing lyrics during his early teens and freestylin’ on the corners with his peeps to kill time during the hustling hours. Decided to pursue a career in music after receiving many compliments in the streets on his MC skills and tired of going through Central Booking for the same $hi...Although SNX became official in 2004, Snatch and X have been on their grind for about 9 years strong. Since they met and discussed their similar interests and goals they haven’t stopped working. They’ve undergone many setbacks including but not limited to not having a recording facility, lack of funding, numerous relocations, and losing their major player “TodoPoderoso” who was fatally shot in 1999 (R.I.P. ). Despite the setbacks, the ups and downs, and all the BS, their passion and determination has led them to establish themselves from scratch (literally) as an independent record label/studio representing the Latin Hip-Hop/Reggaeton movement.Taviana aka Tavi is an Artists/Writer, NYC (Uptown-Dyckman) native, with Dominican background. She's been singing since she was in elementary school and has always had a desire to do music. Introduced to SNX in 2003 with the intent to work on a chorus however, the chemistry was good and she’s remained working with SNX since then. With the SNX experience and guidance Taviana has improved her skills and has demonstrated that she is prepared to take on the venture with SNX.Throughout our journey we've worked on many projects, solo and collectively. We've performed at several venues and released our first demo CD in Feb. 05, "Hip Hop con Sabor Latino" which includes 25 songs: 12 Spanish, 12 English, 1 bilingual, 16 songs on original SNX beats, and 9 on industry beats. We've been promoting in NYC, NJ, PA, Florida, California, Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and anywhere we can get to.In Feb. 06, we released our first mix CD, “Hip Hop con Sabor Latino Vol. 1.5-El Mix CD” which is a compilation of 27 Latin Hip Hop songs, 10 from SNX and 17 from other signed and unsigned Latin Hip-Hop artists from the East to the West coast and the Carribbean. It also includes the single, “De NY a Cali” a Dominican/Mexican East to West original Hip Hop collaboration with SNX and Bagavundoz from Los Angeles, CA.We represent Hip-Hop primarily thus we've released two Latin Hip-Hop Cd's. However, Reggaeton has taken over the club scene and the airwaves hence, we gotta give em what they want. Not cuz they want to but cuz we choose to. Thus, the Reggaeton project is definitely on the way. And yeah, we know 'bout ya'll that say we're selling out cuz we ain't keeping it real doing the Reggaeton 'ish. Just like ya'll that say we should've put out the Reggaeton CD and forget about Hip-Hop 'ish cuz it ain't making as much noise as Reggaeton. But it ain't 'bout keepin' it real to ya'll, its 'bout keepin' it right for us and our fam and staying true to ourselves and the f..@$en game. Bottom line is we in da music biz, we in biz for one thing, MAKIN' MUSIC that will SELL. We doin' Hip-Hop in Spanish and English and whateva language we can collaborate with, even if we don't understand it as long as it sounds hot and we can make paper. We doin' down south, up north, east to west. We doing Reggaeton, Dancehall, R & B, Reggae, Merengue, Bachata, Salsa, Calypso, Soca, etc. We're influenced by African Carribean roots and Urban city life thus our music reflects just that. And if ya'll don't already, "THE SKY IS THE LIMIT". So criticize all ya'll want, that's what ya'll here for. Us, let us do what we do, show us love or keep it moving. In short, SNX Entertainment is an independent latin owned record label doing our own thang and we're here to stay. "WE AIN'T GOING NOWHERE!"
