The band was born in spring 2000 in Cittadella in the North East of Italy, not far from Venice and Padua. The former members were Isaia (bass-vocals), Mauro (drums) and Stefano (guitar), all still playing in the band.
Since the beginning they wanted to write their own songs and play them but not the same genres of music enjoyed the three young musicians so the first songs weren’t homogenous. They choosed S.Pollution as name of the band because it’s provocative and ambiguous. The first working weeks of the band are very hard to describe and they were hard to live as well!
After six months and five songs already written, Andrea joined the band and shared his experience to the other members, including new riffs, new solos and new arrangements for the existings songs. At the end of 2001 the line-up was completed by the arrival of Luca on vocals, screaming and growling.
The first songs have been re-arranged (while some others were forgotten) since the style of S.Pollution converged to the thrash-death-metal with a little flavour of doom-metal.
In March 2002 the band recorded its first demo-cd called “In the heart of the nightâ€, by its own in the rehearsal room with a personal computer; it includes five tracks: “Aimless Againâ€, “Dagonâ€, “Proud†, “In the heart of the night†and “Black Sunriseâ€.
In summer 2003 the members of the band recorded “Beastâ€, “Black Sunriseâ€, “Deadest†& “The Curseâ€, at Hate Studio’s and with other three live tracks they published in February 2004 the mini-CD “Beastâ€: a powerful mix of thrash and death that raised succesful results in on-line magazines (about 20 great reviews in the last year) and in the metal scenes of north-eastern Italy.
At the end of 2004 Luca left the band and Soul took his place on vocals taking part on writing many new songs, as well. Unfortunately, in summer 2005, also Andrea left the crew cause of lack of time due to his new fulltime job, but the other members of the band still go on playing their brand-new songs.
S.Pollution during these years performed over 50 official gigs in pubs and open air festivals with many other bands such Azathoth, Hate’s Symponies, Node, Withering Surface, Merendine Atomiche, Silent Scream, Insane Assholes, Ultima, Aneurisma, Traccia Mnestica, Nameless, H-Strychnine, Moonrise, Dust of Fire...
A lot of new works are coming up...
