DJ Praiz (Akber Taimuri), is no stranger to the Canadian Hip-Hop scene. Since the summer of 1998, he has graced many stages ranging as far west as Vancouver, to as far east as Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City. For eight years, audiences have been treated to his diverse musical style, including Hip-Hop, R n B, Drum n Bass, Rock and Funk in his sets. Praizs performance at the Vans Warped Tour in 2005 and live collaborations with Afu Ra, Planet Asia, Inspecta Deck, Muzion and Kardinal Official (to name a few) have further put him on the map. Praiz has also set himself apart as a turntablist/battle DJ, by having taken first place in Montreals Hip-Hop You Dont Stop Festival, and by having won two third place titles in the Montreal and Whistler DMCs.
