1st Amendment Records & Entertainment:
In September of 2000, 1st Amendment Records & Entertainment was
founded in Phoenix, Arizona by Philip Gordon a.k.a 'Scrappy Jonez'
with the vision of creating a label that would shape artists for
national success. Scrappy Jonez, music producer/songwriter, attended
the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Phoenix, Arizona.
He had a dream of being in the trenches with the artists while gaining
respect and knowledge in the music industry. The label was created on
the first day of music business class along with fellow classmate Greg
Marraccini, together they would forge a friendship, partnership and
share a passion for music for years to come. In 2005, 1st Amendment
Records released its first album, Forever Is Never (FIN) "A Sad Clown
Affair". The release of "A Sad Clown Affair" was a monumental success
and an amazing learning experience. Scrappy then began making
long-term goals for the label and wanted to take steps forward for the
label's success. In 2006, Track 7 clothing company was formed to
market the record label and the bands that represent the label and the
idea to add the production of music videos to 1st Amendment Records.
In comes up and coming director Mike Beltran of San Antonio, Texas who
brings with him style and expertise in music video production.
December of 2006, the long awaited CD for Ledaswan was released and
the future of 1st Amendment Records was certain. 1st Amendment Records
is here thru thick and thin and is ready for what the future holds.Mission statement:To unify the local and regional music scene thru services and
management not easily attained at a national level with a commitment
to treat every client, fan and supporter as family.
