Phillip "Scrappy" Gordon
Discovered music early in life as an outlet and though not able to
afford instruments or lessons he aspired to become a great guitar
player. It was in high school that he purchased his first guitar for
$50.00. With no money for lessons but, a passion for music he taught
himself how to play. Soon he began writing lyrics and realized his
future was in writing and producing music. Scrappy was accepted into
the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences. This was where his
career in music began and 1st Amendment Records was born. The label
was created as an alternative way to run a record label which was more
favorable to the artists with the label as also being partners with
the artists. The idea was highly criticized by many yet people were
intrigued by how it could possibly succeed. Scrappy began to plan and
develop a stable foundation for his company by working as a freelance
producer for bands. 1st Amendment Records is growing into something
more than what he ever imagined and hoped for. For information about
