About Me

Cool girls and they know their stuff!
I don't really want to have to say this, but I feel that at this point I have to. I won't accept bands--unless I already know someone in the band, or someone I know knows you. I also am not going to accept you if I don't have anything in common with you--unless you and I "talk" in a myspace group, I'm not going to accept you just because you wrote me an email that says "hey, you seem nice, maybe we can start something". That tells me you didn't really read my profile because I'm not all that nice and the only one I'm "starting something" with is my husband. Now that I'm finished with my disclaimer:I'm pretty easy going about most things. Lots of things aren't worth getting too upset over. I do have a wicked temper, but that's usually brought out by people doing ignorant things. I have no time for selfish people. All I really ask is that people are considerate in their day to day life--use your turn signal and don't double park infront of a huge parking space--this isn't South Philly--there's plenty of parking for everyone, don't leave your shopping cart in the dead middle of the aisle, don't throw your trash in our yard, and cover your mouth when you cough. I'm highly organized, but very lazy. I don't think I could live in the 'burbs. Our neighborhood will always give you something to raise an eyebrow at, and after a couple of days away, I really miss it. Just like Mr. Lee Ving once sang "I love livin' in the city".

My Interests

Rats make great pets for those who don't have the time to walk a dog several times a day, or for those who don't have much space. They are clean, very smart, and love their people friends. Rats are misunderstood, but are really very loving.

"To the world, you are one person. To a rat, you are the world." Charlie S.

I guess I've never really been like the other kids--after trick or treating, I'd listen to my favorite album--narrated by Boris Karloff. I have the front of this framed in my kitchen.

I'd like to meet:

Would love to meet Christopher Walken. He's creepy cool. Would like to meet Debbie Harry. She did it all first and did it all the best. She's awesome.

Movies:

Old Horror Movies--B level or lower are even better!I miss the Cold War-era spy movies with the evil Soviets-they made the best villans. If it has Ewan McGregor, cheesy song and dance routines, or zombies--I'll watch it.

Television:

I think if I could only get 3 channels, it would be HBO, Style! and Fox. Simpsons--best show EVER! Lenny and Carl are my favorites. Like to watch/play Jeopardy when I remember. And I'm done watching Fear Factor forever. During the "road kill" eating scene, I puked. I can watch the ER shows where people come in with knife wounds and missing limbs, but I can't stand to watch the animal ER shows. Like British Comedies like The Young Ones and Black Adder. Hope the last season of the Sopranos is worth the wait. My guess is that there will be a huge blood bath-gangland shoot out and the one who walks away will be Silvio--muttering to himself.

Books:

I actually can't remember the last book I read that wasn't a text book or research journal. Why the hell did I pick a career where I have to read those horrible things. Just because I read them, doesn't mean I understand them. I do remember once that I liked murder mysteries and supernatural stuff. When I was little I'd just about pee my pants waiting for my Scholastic Book Club order to come every month. I'd order enough books to always qualify for the freebie. Usually involved a Donny Osmond or Sean Cassidy poster.

Garden Extravaganza

So far we've had a few pounds of carrots, green beans for a few dinners (with only a few plants), about 4 dozen cucumbers, and about 6 dozen tomatoes--all varieties. This was not quite a month ago.&nb...

Another year, another week by the lake

We survived another family vacation up at Lake George, NY.  Lake George is about 45 minutes north of Albany and its well worth the 5+ hour drive from Philly. Very few restaurants can give you thi...

Should I be amused or scared?

Ok, while cops are searching the nearby neighborhood for a ski-masked gunman who shot and killed a cop at one of the local bars, they find ANOTHER guy roaming around with a ski mask and gun.  Tot...

Our fallen homie

Our first out of the brood took very ill on Friday and died Saturday.   Monkey and his surviving brother Drunky were "feeder" rats, meaning they were to be sold as live food for other animal...
