I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Incessant writer of books, music, poetry, short stories who enjoys acting out on stage weekly at local venues by singing Karaoke, performing open mike/slam poetry, and indulging my senses in other creative exotic artistic endeavors that suit my fancy(art shows, museum exhibits, concerts, etc.) I am totally uninhibited when it comes to expressing my feelings about someone or something. Either I love it/you, or hate it/you; there is no in between for me. I'm a full-time student at a local community college working on my associates in Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts. I've been in the restaurant business for over 20 years, and can cook anything I try, as long as I have, at least a recipe. It always turns out well. I seldom make mistakes with food. I also bake very well. The kitchen is my area of excellence, and I strive to get better by formulating my own original recipes. I also go to church every week, and have been for many years. I am fully as capable as I was in my twenties of doing anything I could do then. I am currently single, and not actively seeking a relationship, but wouldn't refuse it if the right woman came along.

My Interests

Writing, Cooking, Singing Karaoke, Good Literature, Music, Fashion, Poetry

I'd like to meet:

An attractive, mature, fashionable, conversational woman who likes creativity, music, books,(e-books okay), current events, the spiritual side of life, humor, and going native with shorts and sandals if the moment requires that. One who is as comfortable on the dance floor doing a slow promenade to Frank Sinatra, as they are listening to Ludwig von Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, or Keith Urban's "Making Memories Of Us", not to mention any other Classic Rock n' Roll music from other eras, and 60's, 70's, and early 80's R&B sounds. If this is what you listen to we should have a coffee together at the "88 Club" and talk to the sounds of a local Jazz trio in playing in the background. If we like what we're hearing we should check out the brand new shoppers village, "the Greene" in Beavercreek, and get some dessert at "the Cheesecake Factory" located there. We might browse through the collection at "Books&Co" while we're waiting for the movie "The Illusionist" to start. We'd finish off the night at a local club "Therapy Cafe" to discuss the feature we just saw. If we really clicked we'd make plans to do something together next weekend. If this sounds good to you it's time for us to meet. Are you out there? Is anybody out there?(Pink Floyd)

Books:

Am in the process of rewriting my first novel, so I don't have a lot of time to read anybody else's works right now. Just finished reading "The Wallace" by Nigel Tranter, about the man the movie "Braveheart" deals with. A great take on a real person who was a hero to everyone that knew him; and to all Scottish patriots.

Get Up Off Yours and Vote

I used to think that putting a mark on a ballot for who you wanted to run things for the next term was a waste of time. I even campaigned for George McGovern in the national elections in 1972 by calli...
