Richie Balboa co-founded London based club night 'Social' in 2007 with fellow DJ McQueen, and has hosted monthly parties around London ever since. In their 1st year they welcomed guest DJs including the Utah Saints, Fabric's ALI B and Sick Rick, The Groove Diggerz, The Beat Assassins, Nine Lives the Cat, Tamsin, Ladykilla, Def Inc, The Western Allstars, Refunk & Kid Blue amongst many others, and had a glowing write up in One Week to Live magazine which circulates to 25,000 people.On the DJ side of things outside of Social Richie's funky diverse style has seen him line up with most of the big scene players like Rennie Pilgrem, Freestylers, Ellis Dee, Tayo, Deekline, Atomic Hooligan, Soul of Man, BLIM and Rogue Element and played abroad at Kazantip Beach festival on the Crimean peninsula of Ukraine.As well as DJing and promoting Richie Balboa has also managed NSB Radio since 2007, helping it win the Breakspoll best radio station award 2008. He
co-hosts the Diverted Traffic Radio Show with Diverted every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 9-11pm. In the past six months they've had guests including Rennie Pilgrem, Dopamine, Jimmy Mofo, Dom Kane, Mjoogoo, High Eight, Refunk aka Jay Stewart, Mr No Hands, Scott Nixon, Chris Carter, Rob Focus and more.You can access Diverted Traffic NSB Radio archives by clicking the picture.And if that's not enough he also co manages Diverted Traffic Records, which was set up in 2006 and has been twice nominated in the best new label category at the International Breakspoll Awards.
