About Me

Greetings visitor!
Send me a message if you want a reply of any kind.
English and German works fine with me.
Due to time concerns, I frequently just hit approve
with people I do not know personally, and do not necessarily
always react directly to adds. Just so you know!

Current projects, aside from side-man or studio stuff:
BEN'S JAM. My electronica Jam
WESLEYWORKS. Markus Wessel - Hammond B3, Martin LeJeune - Guitars. Demo done, outings soon.
ENB - eat no bytes. c-come, manic-k.o. and spawn-e have "a deeper vision of rock" - see top list.
ATOMIC 3. "Atomic" Tomek Witiak, Marc-Inti Männel hunt-and-gather through the styles.
Claudio Zanghieri Quartett. Electrifies the clubs with Steffen Stütz ..s and Markus Lihocky on saxes.
Gammour. German P-funk meets pure chauvinism meets guitar rock meets - you?
In the pipeline: Ben's Club Jam.

The music on the player above:
DB and Powerjam were recorded live and direct to two mics at
Ben's Jam Nov 1st 07, Christian Spohn on bass and Steffen Stütz ..s.
These two cuts were deliberately extracted "as is" from the first set, a
continuous jam of 62 minutes lengh. No fx, cuts or eq at all.
Ben's Jam Impro 1 and 2 were (leisurely) recorded on July 5 at the bett-club.de.
No 1 is a 4min cut from a 30min piece of just going for it. Like we do.
No 2 is a 30 min jam piece morphed into one 17 min piece by two fades/cuts.
Claus Kiesselbach, MalletKat, Christian Spohn, bass 'n fx, acoustic drums only.
Philling Space Project was recorded live Dec 04 with
Janek Gwizdala on bass, Audun Waage, tpt, and Franco Piccino, keys.
SunRain (©) was recorded live direct to 2track (and cut down to about 4 min)
on Feb 07 at my Jam, with Matthias Vogt, keys, Christian Spohn, bass,
Jason Schneider, tpt

Apart from recording and performing with diverse projects,
I am currently working with amazing bass players to form the tightest sections
- in the literal sense. Powerful, subtle, intricate, energetic, sonically fine tuned.
And we are already out there, backing some fine performers.
Dream come true.
DJ's who feel like adding sick acoustic/electronic drums to a show, drop in!
I am searching for like minds, like vibe, like music.
Oh, me?
Entered the planet via Frankfurt, Germany.
Fell in love with drums early and just started to play.
Shifted gear into studying music officially.
Graduated on scholarship from Berklee College of Music.
Graduated from Frankfurt Music University.
Ongoing studies: self.

Is anybody really interested in who I crossed paths with, musically?
Well, if so, read on - I have played and/or recorded with:
Hiram Bullock, Matthew Garisson, Alex Gunia, Hellmut Hattler, Joo Krauss,
Terri Lyne Carrington, Janek Gwizdala, Torsten deWinkel, Christoph Spendel,
Nico Suave, Jonesman, Chima, Julian Smith, Tulay, ENB, Dr. Soul and the Chain of Fools,
performed on about every BassDay there is in the western world, been on a UK-clinic tour
oh boy, oh my, good L*rd, the list is ENDLESS.....
I co-wrote, co-produced and played on a bunch of music for TV and DVDs.
I am leading a JamBand, which is performing my music regularly.
So THIS is what myspace is supposed to sound like?!
Fine then.
