About Me

please add:
Emerging from the ashes of successful local bands from the Surrey area, Carmen was a pipe dream to create a band that would push boundaries in not only the scene but to push music by producing genre-defying songs. Mixing the energy of punky post-hardcore with metal riffs and beatdowns Carmen create a relentless attack of hardcore suited for the pit. Adding a twist, with aspects of 80s electro and pop hooks they create an originality yet to be heard.
With a first show opening for Parkway Drive, Carmen couldve hardly had a bigger stage to prove themselves and prove their worth of the hype surrounding them. Convincing an army of fans was no easy feat, but the next coming months through shows and online they continued to build and grow as a band.
Completing their first tour in August 2006 consisting of dates right up to Edinburgh, through to the famous TJs in Newport and finishing at a sold out homecoming show in Twickenham.
Carmens fortunate immediate addition to the Highway 85 family since day one has meant they not only have been lucky enough to play some of the strongest live shows in London including a date supporting Blessed By A Broken Heart (US). Plans of a future EP under the label will be another test to the band to prove themselves further on record after good response to 2006s 2-track demo.
