I can't think of anything!

About Me

Oh, hell, I'm pretty normal. I like to read, see movies, listen to music. I love to travel. I have too many favorite books. I LOVE the Indians - GO TRIBE!!! Anyone ever wants to go to a game, let me know. I can be high strung and I can be laid back. I occasionally drink. I have never been late to work. I'm tired after a long day and don't always want to go out. Sometimes I want to veg. I don't like being overscheduled. Heh.

My Interests

I love to read, see movies, hang out with friends and have a beer. Mmm...beer...Blue Moon, Stella, hefewiezens... Anyhoo.

I'd like to meet:

Fun, interesting, smart people! People who read! People who have an opinion, but not people who want to fight about it! People who like U2! People who don't like U2!

Music:

U2, DMB, Bare Naked Ladies, Sting, The Police, INXS, 80's hairbands, good dance/techno songs for working out. XM Radio - I don't have favorite modern groups anymore - it's too easy to download the one song that I might like by a group or artist, rather than the whole album...kinda sad in a way, because you don't get to really know a group's body of work...but it's certainly cheaper!

Movies:

Independence Day, War of the Worlds, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Queen, Children of Men, The Painted Veil, Elizabeth, Love, Actually, Secretary, Sense and Sensibility, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Exorcist, Spaceballs, Indiana Jones, Twister - I'm not a film snob, I'll watch anything.

Television:

Give me news and give it now! Chuck, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy...I don't follow tv too much. I love shows on DVD - no commercials

Books:

I love love fiction. You read a good novel? Let me know.

Heroes:

My mom and dad.

Busy busy busy

I've had a busy week - I went to Paris and London and sure it sounds fabulous but I was working and the jetlag is hard to get used to.  I had a fantastic time in Paris - went to the Eiffel Tower ...

Updated

First, thanks so much to everyone for expressing their concern and well-wishes. My mom is fine, she should be released today but they do want to perform a few more tests on her to rule out a few thing...

The Nacho Incident

Today was a particularly bad day.  My mom called me around 8:30am to tell me that she fainted and was feeling woozy.  She sounded really out of it, so I said, Okay I'll be right there. ...

Brought Up in a Barnyard

I went to an Indians game today (we lost) and in my section were a young couple, maybe in their early 20's, looking a little worse for wear.  I'm thinking they were a teensy bit hungover because ...

The Dangling Carrot

I'm at the end of what will probably be my last stay in San Fran for probably the next six months or so.  It makes me a little sad because this is my favorite place on earth. I got in yesterday.&...

Where the heck have I been?

I have been so busy lately!  What with training, work, family and new boyfriend (yes, shut up, I have a boyfriend), most of my spare time has been happily taken up by other considerations. I have...

I’m HOME!

I just finished an excruciatingly long four day trip.  I flew 12 legs in four days, 8 of them in the last two and I’m pretty dead on my feet.  And yet here I am writing a blog post. I ...

Obsessive? Me? PSHAW!

I don’t think I’m an obsessive about most things.  I do the dishes when they need to be done and I let clothes pile up in my closets.  I leave books in small stacks on my nightst...

Why oh why am I awake?  It is 2:30am and I am NOT tired.  I have Vulcan Death Flu, which caused me to sleep the whole time I was in Calgary, and in punishment I woke up at 9am this morning e...
