Rui is back in the studio after taking some time off. "I love the direction of my first CD" explains Rui. He loves solid funky ass beats that keep your head bopin' and your feet stompin'. His first track is a ballad called "Somethng Inside." It is a duet Featuring talented friends who are in tune with Rui's vision. Rui wrote some of the music for this tune back in the summer of 2004, and finished it in January 2008. Rui's performance includes; Drums, electronic bass guitar, Synth, main and backing vocals. Guests on this track include; Craig McRae on acoustic, lead and Rhythm guitars. Sarah Cimbron on Piano, main and backing vocals.From Rui; "I think that since I have been performing with my cover band (Stone Slinger) that it has brought me back to my roots. It is very cool singing tunes that I grew up with and partied too. I think that its good to keep in touch with the fathers of music. I have hooked up with musicians and a great DJ and am looking to take GeminiWorm to the next level. I need to bring it on live. I did a show last Summer at the Reverb in Toronto and rocked the house. people were screamin' after every tune. I want and need to feel more of that."A little bit about Rui. He grew up on metal and hard rock, but had an open mind and ear for all types of music. He started out as a drummer. Studied at College of Percussion for a few years. As he matured he started to take interest in vocals. Slowly he got recongnized for his vocal abilities. Performing in bands such as "Heatscore/Justin Sane/Q/Judge Mental/Wild Lead/Dream Widow/Jeff Walker Band/Turbulance/Wank Punter and many more."
